The 4A used to be worth a lot more than that. After Nathan Chen landed 6 quads in his 2018 Olympic LP and won that portion of the competition by 18 technical points over Hanyu and nearly 9 points even after PCS was added, the ISU freaked out. Nathan then went on to land 6 quads again in his Worlds 2018 LP and win the title by nearly 50 points over Uno. After that, the ISU slashed all the original base values of the quads and the triple axel to try and reduce Nathan's point potential in order to narrow the gap between him and the other skaters. That was wrong of the ISU to act against Nathan in that way. In addition, the ISU also reduced the number of quads that could be repeated in a LP from 2 to 1. That's why the quad axel isn't worth more today. Under the original base values, Nathan's scores and world records would be even bigger today. These were the original base values of the quads and triple axel in the 17-18 season versus their value now: 4A 15.0 / 12.5, 4Ltz 13.6 / 11.5, 4F 12.3 / 11.0, 4L 12.0 / 10.5, 4S 10.5 / 9.7, 4T 10.3 / 9.5, 3A 8.5 / 8.0

Nathan Chen's gigantic quad lutz from his 2022 Olympics LP with the highest GOE for a single jump of +4.93 will always be the quad lutz to rule them all! Fun Fact: Nathan Chen is the only skater to ever receive a +5 GOE. He got it on his opening quad flip/triple toe combination in his 2019 GPF long program.
@Prologue I think the one that's "sad" is you. Sounds like sour grapes. Too much reality for you? How can Hanyu be the GOAT when he just faded out over the last four years into retirement, holding NO major championship titles, NO world records, and getting defeated by Nathan by his most devastating margin ever, 49.39 points at the '22 Olympics, ending up OFF the podium. GOAT? Not even close.
@sporeKAfan. More Fun Facts: Nathan Chen has the 5th highest win rate (73%) in the history of men's figure skating. He is behind only Karl Schafer (74%), Gillis Grafstrom (78%), Ulrich Salchow (80%) and Dick Button (92%), basically the giants of the sport and the men who invented figure skating. Hanyu? He's WAY back in 14th place with a win rate of just 41%. Winning LESS than half of his international competitions, that's a LOSING record. Hanyu is the ONLY multiple Olympic gold medalist to NOT rank in the Top 10 most-winning men skaters of all time. Nathan lost just six competitions in six years with three undefeated seasons and the longest winning streak in skating history, 14 competitions. Hanyu? He NEVER had an undefeated season, and his longest winning streak was just four competitions. In fact, Hanyu never won BOTH his GP assignment competitions until the 9th year of his career, three years before he retired. Nathan successfully defended his World title twice for three consecutive wins. Hanyu? He NEVER successfully defended a World title with just two titles won three years apart. Having left skating over one year ago, Nathan still holds the World records in the SP, LP, and total score. He also holds six of the Top 10 total scores of all time, including the top three. He owns the highest scores and widest margins of victory in the history of the U.S. Nationals (58.21 points), Grand Prix Final Championships (43.87 points), and World Championships (29.11 points). He also owns the highest score in the history of the Olympics (332.60 points) with the second highest margin of victory at the Games (22.55 points), second only to Plushenko (27 points) in 2006. Hanyu? He retired holding NO world records and NO major figure skating championship titles. In fact, in the last two years of his career, Hanyu didn't win anything. Nathan is only the second man to win the Olympics as the reigning World and Grand Prix Final Champion. Evan Lysacek was the first. He is also only the 6th man to win the World Championship title at the young age of 18. Nathan is the first man to land 4 and 5 clean quads in a LP, and the only man to land 6 fully rotated quads in a LP. Aside from Jason Brown, who had no quads in his programs, Nathan was the ONLY man at the 2022 Olympics to skate clean programs with +GOE on every element and no deductions. In fact, since the inception of the Code of Points, Nathan is the ONLY man to ever skate perfectly clean programs with all +GOE at the Olympics. In his career, Nathan skated two perfectly clean programs in a single competition 6 times. Hanyu? He only accomplished it twice, and not since 2015. Nathan was also the first man to land five different types of quads in competition. Only Ilia Malinin has since accomplished it. Nathan's 5th place finish at the 2018 Olympics (297.35) was 14.14 points higher than Hanyu's 4th place finish in Beijing (283.21), and would have taken the bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics. Even in losing, Nathan STILL beats Hanyu! Nathan ended his career as the 6-time, undefeated National Champion, 3-time, undefeated Grand Prix Final Champion, 3-time, undefeated World Champion, and Olympic Champion, holding ALL the world records for SP, LP, and total score, along with 6 of the Top 10 total scores of all time, AND the highest scores in the history of the U.S. Nationals, Grand Prix Final, World Championships, and the Olympics. Hanyu held NONE of that, hadn't won a competition in two years, and just...faded out. Enjoy those additional fun facts.
Not so Fun Fact : Chen is the only skater to ever got 300% sudden increase in GOE/TES/PCS from 2018 to 2019. Totally artificially created paper champion. Most over scored jumper ever. He couldn't even reach the podium, with such mediocre skating skills and no signature moves if he was Chinese, ouch! truth hurts, and even willful ignorance and denial doesn't help to cure the constant pain...
People can argue who does the most beautiful jumps, but no one in the history and may be in the future can land quads with positive GOEs as consistent of Nathan Chen.
@alizay5514 you keep saying that until you die. No professionals or historians will agree with you. Nathan's record I will predict won't be broken anytime soon.
@alizay5514 again no one in the history of figure skating can consistently land quad jumps as well as Nathan. The last 4 competitions against Hanyu, Nathan had 7 programs with all positive GOEs compared to 1 that Hanyu had. That's why Hanyu lost all 4 competitions on an average of close to 35 points.
@ruby6555 The "GOAT" you are talking about was so inconsistent that he could not get all positive GOEs in 7 of the last 8 programs against Nathan while Nathan had only 1 out of the 8. Yuzu would have asthma attack every time he faced Nathan because of stress. I don't see him having asthma attacks when doing shows. He was so humiliated that he tried to do 4A just to grab some headlines because he knew there is no way he could beat Nathan. Only losers who can't find other reasons to blame will blame the judging. Go and watch his shows. Nathan believe there is more to life than skating.
@FanyuHanyu I agreed he is popular there in Japan and China but he wasn't competitive against Nathan in competitions. Nathan will never fill a stadium like Hanyu does; just like Hanyu could never achieve the scores that Nathan did. Hanyu can't never score as high as Nathan would because he just does not have the technical skills and consistency that are needed to beat Nathan. Go ask Scott Hamilton. US is just not into figure skating or figure skating shows. The attendance for US figure skating competition is really bad now although Jason Brown is still competing. Nathan did bring in some excitement when he was competing.
@ginger269 you spent too much time writing about him. Not interested in reading it. Just look at the record and convince me who is the 🐐.Hanyu was over scored so many times with that pcs score that he got 90s even when he was falling out many times in a program. No one would get that.

OMG why Yuzuru Hanyu is most loved, most searched, most popular, most admired, most acknowledged, most complete, Greatest figure skater of the Century 😭
This list is kinda not that impressive, as obviously higher BV jumps easily rise to the top, but aren't really that nice to look at. Highest actual GOE would be the best. And not as GOE multiplied by BV as it impacts the score. Like, the actual -5 to +5 range. Some of them will likely still be overscored, but they'll generally look a lot nicer.
Totally agree. His wonky jump technique of picking in with the entire side of his skate is why he's been so inconsistent in his career. I like his style, but to he honest, the only reason he's winning now if because Nathan and Hanyu aren't skating. His inflated GOE at last year's Worlds was a joke. It will probably be the same this year. Because of his wonky technique, I'm not convinced he's even done a legitimate quad flip. To me, the first person to do a REAL quad flip was Nathan Chen.
Shamelessly using #yuzuruhanyu in your title without him even being in the video, deleting comments praising his performance, and encouraging people to degrade his career…? The audacity.
Well, this list is 4F, 4Lz and 4A only, as these are the jumps with the highest BV. And Yuzu landed the 4Lz like what? Twice in his entire career? Can't make a highest scoring jumps list with a 4T and 4S.
We love skating. Where is evgenia Medvedeva quad lutz and Kamila valieva textbook quad toe? I heard their point 20,95 and 20,45 each of them They are exceptional. The rules has max +5 GOE, but they get ++10 GOE they are beyond textbook really

@@WeLoveSkating1 they really are, he has textbook technique and has been incredibly consistent since the 18/19 season. That's a deadly combination. Quad King for a reason. I wonder if Ilia will be able to gain that consistency too, as he's struggling with it for now, but he's also still very young.
Totally agree with you. I’ve never seen any a fandom as toxic as fanyus 🤢
All them are a winner I'm proud of them
Undefeated Nathan. 🤍🤍🤍
Chen still the best jumps.
4Lz carried the whole video😄
Lia Malinin ( russian right?!! ) the best and most beautiful 😮
the best is from natan chen
Nathan Chen Of course! He's the best and his technique is textbook! I mean! He's just the best! Masterclass!
Is he still jumping? I mean is he still competing or doing ice shows? because I couldn't find any videos of him jumping the entire 2024, is he still active? if so, why there are no new skating/jumping videos of him?
@@honeybee-f7v No he's not active, he's not jumping anymore, he retired right after Beijing Olympics at age 22, currently he's studying to become a doctor.
Definitely the quad A
Quad king is much more consistent than Quad god. Quad god could be out of control.
For now ..
and the quadgod has landed much harder jumps and combinations
I love Shoma but Nathan has best 4F.
Omg why there are always a lot of crazy fanyus under every video 🤢
OMG why Yuzuru Hanyu is most loved, most searched, most popular, most admired, most acknowledged, most complete, Greatest figure skater of the Century 😭
This list is kinda not that impressive, as obviously higher BV jumps easily rise to the top, but aren't really that nice to look at. Highest actual GOE would be the best. And not as GOE multiplied by BV as it impacts the score. Like, the actual -5 to +5 range. Some of them will likely still be overscored, but they'll generally look a lot nicer.
Boyang's 4lz is amazing. Tho no one will ever have a 4lz like Kolyada, granted he hit it so sparingly, but when he did? Lights out
For me Boyang jin!!!
Sorry but this doesn’t make sense. The lutz BV is lower than the flip? And the axel is only .4 above the flip?
Thank god that you don't analyze Dmitri Lutz jump, because the Lutz with blade assistance is so ugly.
I would be happy to do a 4lz
Lol 😂
Undefeated Chen beat hanyu 5 times in a row. That's why fanyus are obsessed with him. Comedy 🤣
Shoma has a terrible technique and doesn't deserve those GOEs
The audacity.
why Shoma flips base value is 12.10?
Why does the Flip has higher base value than the Lutz..?
i dont know either
Flip does not have a higher BV.
boyang should have won the bronze for 2018 olympics. javi silver, yuzu gold. shoma only deserved 4th place.
Lol and yuzu didnt even make the list
Because, he is not a king, he is an Emperor 👑
@@911randompsp Yes, it's fantastic! 👍
@@911randompsp Great show!
Well, this list is 4F, 4Lz and 4A only, as these are the jumps with the highest BV. And Yuzu landed the 4Lz like what? Twice in his entire career? Can't make a highest scoring jumps list with a 4T and 4S.
Todo es Nathan Chen y Yuzuru Hanio?

The fact that Shoma is here makes me sad.
We love skating. Where is evgenia Medvedeva quad lutz and Kamila valieva textbook quad toe?
I heard their point 20,95 and 20,45 each of them
They are exceptional. The rules has max +5 GOE, but they get ++10 GOE
they are beyond textbook really
I think I just had a stroke reading this
I think it's because the title of the video said male jumps.
@@hannahlannigan9568 they can win against male skater. Their score inflation is incomparable.
