Pile 2 here: I’ve been battling an invisible illness since I was 12. I’ve always felt ostracized, left out. I wasn’t ever allowed to spend the night anywhere. Couldn’t leave the house except for church, school and the doctors. I grew up with my great grandparents but they died when I was in high school so I’ve been alone ever since. I’ve struggled with my health but doctors couldn’t ever tell me what was wrong. They just said it was anxiety and told me to take antidepressants. And now it’s like the truth is here and I can say “look it’s real” and not have to look for justification anywhere, for someone to see me, because I can finally see myself. And I can get healthy now that I know what’s wrong. I can be an active, more involved mother, I can do activities and have a job, I can be a better partner and sibling and friend. It’s ate into the parts of my brain for emotional processing so I was so frazzled this last year and took it out on the people around me, but it really didn’t make sense in my head. Pile 1 so accurate, even the date was right. I stopped it and went to do something else. I took good care of myself and my health. Attended dancing classes, relaxed and watched as much movies as I can. I also ended a relationship with someone. I now understand what self worth means! I have learned that nothing is more important than myself and my health even if it’s something that I love, if it’s taking up my energy it won’t be in my world. My father is in his 70s and just finished going through a bad divorce. At first, I felt like I just piled onto his pain but it was almost like for the first time my true words came out to him. I surprised myself. I instantly felt better. I am an EXTREMELY highly sensitive empath and I knew if I didn't make the break he was going to take me down with him. I was abused by my mother from physical to mental. Took me decades to get out the pit, slowly now healing myself. My mother now has severe dementia and I'm taking care of her. I am morbidly obese and for many years though that self love ment that I had to love this body and not change it because if I did change, it meant that's I did not love my self.
