- Sunday 9th May was round 2 of the SW XC series at Woody's Bike Park in Cornwall. This video talks through the event, one of the hilliest rides/races I've ever done. A fantastic venue, seriously worth a visit if you've been considering it!

These videos are great Chris, I don’t usual get involved in TH-cam comments but had to on this occasion. It’s really made me want to get a mountain bike and try something new, the videos feel really natural that I’d take over scripted stuff any day!. Keep it up and good luck for the rest of the season, but more importantly keep enjoying it!

Love the race videos and it is always nice to see kids enjoying themselves at races without their parents pressure to perform.
Thank you! Definitely varying levels of parent influence, but on the whole it seemed healthier than on the road scene. They all looked happy, luckily!

Was good to see you on the practice lap, hills were horrible. Sadly my race was short lived (vets male) as I stacked it badly on the "B line" (I know stupid) at the second rock garden lap one ribs going to be sore for a while. I was in the blue on the deck in the video.
Sorry to hear that, hope you're not too bruised? Be careful not to cough, sneeze or laugh for a while if it is your ribs! Hope you recover well.

Loads of speed into that right hander (too much) misjudging fact mud packed front tyre & grass should know better as raced mountain bike XC since 1991.
Top right ribs tender but other brusing clearing, front washed out so quick right chest took the full impact, very happy no broken or cracked ribs as they thought at scene.
Hopefully still be able to race 23rd at South West regional champs, problem could be bike back in time which means my 1996 Kona Kilueara my have to be put into action again.
I miss racing sooooo much...😭

Hi Billy, they're the photochromic Oakley Jawbreakers. (There's always a sale somewhere). They're good in most conditions, though I do take them off sometimes as I like to have quite a bright view of the trails/roads .
What! You're not very good at Climbing, no hope for me then. I struggle to push up Nangiles mine, good video!
I should have said, relative to the competition I found myself up against. I can do one climb fast, reatedly, not so much...
What are those cards with arrows on the downhill section mean Chris?

Thank you! I think they indicate the severity of the section. More arrows mean steeper or more technical (I think).
