"My daughter done that!" Throwing her daughter under the bus for putting a month's worth of dates online for her new home rental. (wink, wink) Great grammar coming from Sheila Nared, a Seven Hills social worker. She should've NEVER been able to buy this house! Just like no one can enter a sweepstakes contest if they work for the company, the same rules should apply for employees of affordable housing programs. This is so shady and blasphemous! Heads need to roll for this one to make sense.

How can it be sold? Especially to an employee. Wouldn't that be a conflict of interest? I thought these affordable houses were supposed to be rented out at a reasonable price to low income families. Seven Hills need to be investigated for letting this happen.

@@woozy607 in my opinion once an apartment or house is designated affordable housing, they are ALWAYS designated affordable housing.... my parent's apartment building we moved into around 76 or 77.... was originally built in 54/55 as tenement apartments... the walls and floors are paper thin, cheaply made apartment buildings... it went co-op in 87... those arrogant, stupid people immediately started complaining about noise from adjacent apartments because they were paying a luxury fee per apartment/square footage, when the buildings were designed to be affordable housing..... they immediately came up with rules that prior to 87 when they bought the place and took over were absolutely insane... pre 87 people would sunbathe on the rooftops in the summer... sit in folding chairs on the front lawn..... gather across the street in the park (that was mostly the elderly, but grandkids were always warmly welcomed across the street by the elderly, related or not) my point is the community was great, everyone just did their thing, it was all accepted, very few complaints... because it was tenement housing so everyone knew what they were in for... after 87 and the upgrades (which was only to replace sheetrock in apartments and freshen up the public areas to look fancy while costing as little as possible, on a set of buildings 32 years old, made to be cheap as possible which at that point were falling apart... they were selling apartments from studios at around 1100 to 2 bedrooms at around 1400 (in 1987 mind you) in "maintenance fees" plus 175k-250k per apartment to purchase..... and they ruined the community in the process... recently they have been trying to bring the buildings back but that doesn't even mention making the apartments worth a luxury price. they overprice the bare minimum as luxury and demand people pay it...

I do not know this persons salary but the base salary for a social worker in that area is about $60,000. Were there any guidelines for the workers of Seven Hills to buy this affordable housing unit? Affordable rental unit, was it ever rented? The house went up or sale to the public and no one responded, I really find that hard to believe. More problems here than Airbnb😂

My guess is they listed it for a price they knew nobody could/would pay, for a certain period, before declaring "we couldn't find a buyer". Then they transfer ownership to an employee who could flip it into an AirBnB and profit. I'm curious how many properties have transferred from the organization's hands to someone else they're tied to.

She shouldn't have been allowed to buy the property because it could potentially be rented out for something else, which it has. These homes were designed to help lower income families, not to fill a rich mans pocket. Now it's a cash grab for her and some families are out of a home. It depends on the timeline. If I remember right, I think there is a 5 year wait before an HFH rehab can be listed on the OPEN market. Until then, the original family has to live there full-time. People getting on their feet should not be expected to live on one place forever, but this sounds like a shady off-market deal to someone's buddy, who then turned around and rented it expensively.

An investigator should look into the sales of the house. It seems like a under the table kinda deal. The price was probably way below market value. It should have been auctioned off to the highest bidder. Just looking at the comments, it seems like this is a scheme. The owner just needs to "Live there for 5 years" and then flip the house for a huge profit (because the house sold to them were dirt cheap). There might be some kick back money that's involved for the people that sold her the house.
