One small tip I'd add is that before you drain the oil you should take the oil filter out because it actually stores a bit of oil inside it & it doesn't release/drain downwards until you take the filter out. It's not a crazy huge amount (maybe up to a qt max) but is still a good thing to do to try & get as much of the old oil out as possible. Great video btw.
Heads up if you take the oil filter out first their won’t be suction that will make the oil filter hard to take out, so canister oil filter comes out first 👍
Instead of using the chain, I actually found a thin piece of cloth to fit underneath the oil filter wrench cap and then I gently hammered it down. It made it tight enough to where I could finally grip the filter to loosen it. I hope this helps somebody who’s struggling rn 😂😂.
For everyone wanting to try a oil change, don’t be scared of it. - the under treys come on and off easy. Don’t over tighten -Make sure you have the right tools -Replace the oil drain plug washer - replace the the oil filter. - refill with oil - dispose oil at local AutoZone or other locations that take it. Good luck to everyone.
I have a c250 and looking at oils . I have ordered liqui moly in the past but check this guy out. SPEEDiagnostix and his mobile1 and the pennzoil ultra platinum oil
5W-40 and 0W-40 should both be effective since they both have the Mercedes 229.5 approval. Always check your owners manual for approved oils. Pg.308 in the W204 owners manual.

Great job 👍
My only complaint is the oil filter. I only use fleece filters in my Mercedes because paper filters can destroy your engine
What is the oil change capacity including oil filter?
For the M272 (V6) it's 8.0L but check the manufacturers guide
It Cal's for 7 I believe sorry if I'm wrong
Mercedes recommends 0W- 40 engine oil
You can do either or, it has the recommendations in the owners manual.
