I'm not sure you heard what Samkele Maseko just said. The difference in this proposal and the one of the former presidents administration was the scale, 9000 Megawatts vs 2500 Megawatts. Obviously the 9000 Megawatts was going to severely constrain our fiscus. Now they will start small and grow according to what our budget will allow. That is very important difference there.
@@ElethuDunathe 9000 was going to be 1.2 trillion… renewables have cost 1.4 trillion so far… we haven’t even found a way to transmit…. This is a movie they are all actors,Zuma included ….
So the nuclear deal President Zuma was negotiating had more generation capacity (9000 instead of 2500 MW), and would have cost less ( 1 trillion instead of 2,5 trillion), again Msholozi has been vindicated as right all along
President Zuma came with this initiative as he did with Aids during his tenure under Mbeki administration and this was also shut down.....Now that President Zille proposes it they support it😮
No this guy is not answering the question. The fact is the Ministet of Electricity and Energy has been on record not so long ago that the energy availabilty factor has tremendously improved, in fact there will be more energy than consumption (thanks to high tariif increases), where is the urgency coming from to build a nuclear power station. What impact will this have on the near future tariff increases?
Let us wait and see who of the comrades get to benefit from this nuclear project proposal. Oh, another thing, let us hope it does not end up being implemented at triple or 4 times the original projected cost. And it does not end being an environmental disaster.
When Zuma proposed same nuclear power he was vilified yet today it sounds like an innovation.
A group of pretenders

😂😅😂 Your problem is the obsession you have about praising Zuma to reason with you will be useless kqubeleka nalomtamo owuhlafunayo 😅😂
That would be 1 trillion that Zuma could put his hands on. State capture, remember?
Remember all the failed power station projects during Zumas years?
Dr Ramokgopa standing on bidnis. Power to that!
Imagine saying that you will cry when someone passes away.! And see him using substance abuse.! What do you think on your own self
Why cant the South africans use the nuclear power plant in existence for electricity needs and REQUIREMENTS.
9000mw for R1 trillion and 2500mw for R2.5 trillion ....was it really necessary to block Zuma's deal?
Gimme hope

He has reached that 70% but is the cost going down cause we pay a lot for that
Phala phala journalists.
