@@manonbtravels6343 Where I live, in eastern Washington State, we don't call a gathering where everyone brings a dish, a buffet. Here we normally call it a potluck, or a cookout if it's outside in the summer. Here, buffets are what we call the restaurants and the presentations that have multiple items that they make and put out on display and you just take an empty plate and go along and pick what you want. So here, to help make it easy to remember, restaurants do buffets, providing all food selections. Family and friends do potlucks and cookouts by each person or family bringing different foods. I'm not certain if you were talking about the difference in seating style, but for most parties of the year, yes Americans like to have informal seating. If we do have formal seating (sitting at one table together) it would most likely be during certain feasts like Thanksgiving or Christmas. However, it depends on the American family, their guests they have invited, and the event.
I've been all over the US and Europe, living in both, and they each have their "good" and "bad"and some certain things better than others, but I've found Americans to be the most fun, spontaneous, and energetic, rivaled only by the Irish and British and Australians. (Maybe it's an English speaking thing, I don't know).
The spontaneous things is so true, me my friends always say that those time are the most fun, and I think apart of it is when you plan something you have high expectations for that day and if it doesn’t go as plan it could really ruin it, and if you do a random trip you wasn’t expecting it usually turns out fun just because you wasnt expecting to have a good time! That’s my opinion on it!

A beach party is where you would play beach volleyball, swim in the ocean, and later sit in front of a bonfire where you would roast hotdogs and make S'mores, and sing songs. Then, we have baby showers, bridal showers where it may start out with seated place cards, then everyone moves into another area, and plays games, and opens gifts, followed by a dessert bar. Seasonally, we would have a 'Tailgate' party in the Autumn months, at the football games (which is a very community-oriented gathering in the parking lots before the game begins), a Holloween costume party with lots of food, candy, and games, such as bobbing for apples. Our Christmas parties, where again, the food and beverage are specific, can be quite formal or informal, depending on which type of party the host or hostess is throwing. There's lots of singing carols around the piano or a guitar in front of the roaring fireplace, with EVERYTHING lit up (interior and exterior), and decorated to the max, and possibly a 'White Elefant' gift exchange, just for fun! Then in January, we have a Super Bowl party, where there is a ton of specific snack foods (hot wings, a variety of chips & dips/salsa/guacamole, pizzas, long 25 ft. meat & cheese sandwiches, bite-sized quiche, baked potato skins with crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese, and topped off with sour cream & chives. In addition, you would have a whole variety of Mexican food, a dessert bar, etc. Then comes Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Memorial Day BBQ's, The FOURTH of July! (The whole nation celebrates our Independence with music, food, fun & fireworks!), and to close the summer season, we celebrate a long, four-day weekend on Labor Day, again, pool, beach, lake, and backyard parties or parties in the park with family & friends. The type of American party really depends on the occasion, which the host or hostess, can make it anything they'd like to. That's the wonder of America, there are countless options and opportunities! I'm certain that the ultra-wealthy would party on a whole other level, such as on their multi-million dollar yachts, etc. Most Americans love any reason to celebrate life, love, family, friends, community, and our great American patriots who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our many, great freedoms. Mixing your "new normal" from American into your French normal, could be hard at times. As you seen, Americans over decorate any holiday, large and small. Halloween, Christmas and Valentines Day, Easter...hard to explain to someone, who has not seen it for themselves.....
I was a marine from 2003-2007, and I did 3 tours in Iraq. The worst part for me was getting shot 4 times across the chest and losing my buddy, I’m not going to go into detail because I can’t I don’t ever want to remember that again but afterwards I moved here to japan to clear my mind I can’t go back to a country that Abandoned me after my service also don’t bother thanking me anyways I hope you enjoy your stay and if you have children do not have them join the military seriously.
足立あきら that’s an horrible thing to go through.. I am sorry for your friend. Yeah the USA should have better programs for veterans too many are in the streets or by themselves when they need help. I’m glad you found a place to retreat and heal.
足立あきら The Japanese people are kind and honorable. I want to visit there. I met two young guys around 19 years old and I treated them well. They asked me to visit them. I want to. So far I know Thailand and the Philippines and I found kindness there too. I was injured and in hospitals there. I did not want to return to Denver because my life was very lonely there. Nobody helped me. The culture is brutal if you are struggling and injured. People need to have more kindness. A small few number of people stop to help you if you need it. I live in El Paso now. I think the army base helps the city. I play tennis with some soldiers on the Ft Bliss team. Sometimes we have to give people a second chance because we all are in service to one another. Take care friend!
Lol not really, but if you aren't used to the French accent I can see how you could make the jump. She had a much higher pitch than GSP Gsp sounds like a guy and she sounds like a female
Being in a Gym surrounded by men lifting weights is probably the safest place for a women in America. NO one is going to mess with you and EVERYONE (except the person bothering you) is going to come to your aid.
Guess what - you found out that you enjoy weightlifting which many women are now doing in the USA. Go to a Regional Crossfit competition and you will be stunned like I was at how many women are lifting really heavy weights and not only getting N.Y. stronger but their confidence levels are much higher Which means you have discovered a trend that hasn’t really hit your area yet but eventually will. Which means you can start a business running a gym that caters to women with weight lifting, boxing and maybe mixed martial arts and yoga. Copy the USA fitness centers - visit a bunch of them and take the best ideas for yourself.

Hard for Europeans (and others) to understand the passion Americans have for gun ownership. It was thought so important a right of liberty that it's the 2nd Amendment in the Constitution. It's not so much about sport/sustenance hunting, but personal defense against crime and tyranny. Not aware of any other country that allows much of this.

Mixing your "new normal" from American into your French normal, could be hard at times. As you seen, Americans over decorate any holiday, large and small. Halloween, Christmas and Valentines Day, Easter...hard to explain to someone, who has not seen it for themselves.....
dana asher yeah I try to do it tho ! But my French family and friends judge me hahaha I eat peanut butter with banana and they think it’s super weird
..@@manonbtravels6343...... add bacon... you and Elvis would have been friends!
dana asher I actually don’t eat much bacon anymore not my thing haha why did he eat that too ?
@@manonbtravels6343 peanut butter and banana and bacon sandwich was his favorite ...
dana asher ewww that’s a little weird haha I wouldn’t put bacon with that haha
Sounds like a real difference summed up by the pursuit of happiness vs the 5 year plan.
Since I live in Pennsylvania I wonder where you were in Pennsylvania

guitargodthor2 thank you !! ☺️
you can do almost anything in America :)

Matthew Costello 😂😂😂 the color isn’t really where land is ! It’s juste where you can stretch it off ! It’s all the islands haha
Good catch. I never noticed that.
@@manonbtravels6343 for a minute there I thought you knew something the rest of the world d didn't lol
the Mediterranean looks a tad suspect also
Matthew Costello haha yeah you’re supposed to scratch it off but I think the golden color is so pretty so I left it like that hahaha
Thank god, we don't make any occasion a party over here.
Would be unbearable.

iLoveManonbtravels
Yeah
Were you delta zeta?
Arandor Thinnorion yes !
HoHo, my sister is a DZ.
Belsnickel well hiiii to her !
Am I the only one who thinks of George’s St Pierre when listening to these videos?
Lol not really, but if you aren't used to the French accent I can see how you could make the jump.
She had a much higher pitch than GSP
Gsp sounds like a guy and she sounds like a female
Working out is popular because people overeat.
What does the logo on you shirt mean?
She must have joined a sorority - it is Delta Zeta, the DZ's are a large sorority present at many college campuses
yes like david said, I was in DZ while in college :)
Looking at the hors d' oeuvres ? 2:20

lets go look at the frogs, and have a party.
Wow...She's a total babe...
INCARNATE thank you 😂😂
@@manonbtravels6343 You're welcome....
theres something wrong with Florida on your map lol.
Go to a Regional Crossfit competition and you will be stunned like I was at how many women are lifting really heavy weights and not only getting N.Y. stronger but their confidence levels are much higher
Which means you have discovered a trend that hasn’t really hit your area yet but eventually will. Which means you can start a business running a gym that caters to women with weight lifting, boxing and maybe mixed martial arts and yoga. Copy the USA fitness centers - visit a bunch of them and take the best ideas for yourself.
Cute ✨.
I enjoy your video's but some times it's really hard to understand your English
yeah I know I don"t practise as much anymore :/ but I think it is also because I film on my iphone and the sound is not very good, I will get a microphone to up the sound quality
@@manonbtravels6343 I really do not mean to be rude....but let's say if you practiced more the need for a .better mic would be unnecessary.Or maybe it's just me??
You saw American gun culture here so you have to flex your guns in your next video :-)
That's why USA is #1 in the World. Sorry not sorry .
