      Jackson Saunders I really can’t say for a home remedy, I had a friend say used white vinegar, and it worked well. The product I use for pet urine you can’t buy in any store.
      I would say a good peroxide may help as well, if you do try it, pour on the spot, saturate it good, let sit for 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water, use a towel to blot it.
      I hope this info helps you, if not, contact a local cleaner in your area 😊

Not because it smelled but because the color was night and day. I told here she has to get the carpets cleaned and then call back for a re-service. This was all over. AMA about the pest control job or this house I mentioned.

    My carpet was like this and it left me so distraught, depressed, and sad. At some point I decided it didn't matter, because since I'd made it so dirty I was just a dirty person who deserved to live with a dirty house. • @orchidtrust2543
      @orchidtrust2543 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@mr.m.7357 Urine has proteins in it and the longer they sit they oxidize. Goes through weird changes and gets sticky almost like a glue. So if it's down in your carpet pad and concrete/ wood floors underneath, it's near impossible to suck that gunk back out thru the carpet & pad. The only thing that will work for those is treating it heavily with a bio-enzyme type cleaner and letting that sit for a while. The live enzymes will eat the proteins in the urine and get rid of the odor and bacteria over a one to a few treatments.

    I like that steam iron trick, I have a spot I’ve been hiding with a plant for a few weeks, I’m about to GET IT!
    I learned a little something back in the day. If you use any kind of soap, shampoo, spot remover, you have to rinse it very well. Most of those stains she said “came back” actually did in the sense that they were probably pre treated with soap, then extracted, but not rinsed with water while being extracted. So think about what soap does. It attracts dirt. Now walk over that stain with five kids, and anyone else in the house and in about 3 months those spots look dirty again. Basically the stain was removed, but the soap created another dirty spot. Try it even when you rent a shampooer or if you have your own, wash it, then rinse, especially the spots with plain water until you no longer see suds. 😉 hope ya’ll try it!

    • @cindytaylor235
      @cindytaylor235 4 ปีที่แล้ว +53

      Nicole Thompson, I would put my kids to work doing chores for me until they “paid off” their part of the cost. This is not normal wear and tear and “kid stuff.” I raised three kids and I understand that kids make messes all day long. I taught my kids to tell me when they had an accident and I helped/taught them how to clean it up depending on their ages at the time. This is total disrespect. And yes, respect must be taught. Holding CHILDREN accountable is good parenting!

    • @cindytaylor235
      @cindytaylor235 4 ปีที่แล้ว +33

      Kuro, Children have to be TAUGHT to respect themselves, others, and property. Making a mess like this shows that they have not been taught respect.....Just as telling someone you do not even know to “shut up” is mean spirited. I cannot imagine any circumstance where I would tell someone I did not even know to shut up. Guess what! I love children. I had three of my own and taught endless children in my classroom over 35 years in public education. I never had to yell at mine or anyone else’s child to get them to show me the little accidents they made. I taught them to tell me about them and then helped/showed them how to clean them up. They never turned into disasters like shown in this video. My point in my original message was to TEACH YOUR CHILDREN respect.

    • @nicolethompson2399
      @nicolethompson2399 4 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      @@cindytaylor235 yes good parenting includes discipline and holding older children accountable. However, having 3 children does not automatically make you a good parent. This isnt to say that youre a bad parent either but I feel like you are expressing a visceral reaction instead of showing a bit of grace. The mom even said that when she got the home the carpets werent in great condition and that now the carpets look better than when she moved in. So this was NOT all her kids' doing. Also, lets not forget that life happens. Having small children 24/7 during a quarantine will drain you. I'm sure a lot of carpets are getting messed up in these times just due to parents simply trying to survive. I think having the kids help clean up after themselves is a good idea but how much cleaning can a mother do if even 2 other professional carpet cleaners couldnt get the carpets clean?

      The bleached out marks tell me this is most likely a wool carpet (could be nylon), wool will not melt like a synthetic when you put an iron on it. Red stains are the hardest to remove, and wool is more esily stained than the synthetc carpets (polypropylene, polyester etc). Over all the result is MORE impressive when we consider that the carpet is most likely wool.

    This is why we only have hard wood floors, plus our kids are only allowed to eat at the table. Hell NO!
    Edited to say you guys did an AMAZING job!

    I was allowed to eat in our carpeted living room as a kid, but I would have gotten in trouble if I made a mess like that.
    Sure I spilled stuff, but I was always made to clean it up right away myself. The only time I wasn’t in trouble was when I got sick on the carpet when I was a lot younger, that was an accident.

    Loving the infectious enthusiasm and kindness of the cleaners. Not loving all the judgey, harsh comments. We never know what someone is wrestling with inside. External mess and turmoil is just a reflection of what’s going on inside. Be kind, people. And yes, anyone can put on an acceptable “I’m fine” show of normality for the cameras, while hurting inside. Everyone is fighting a tough battle somehow, so be generous with your comments. I’m glad these chaps got to work their magic. ✨💫

    I tell you now, owning investment properties, a good carpet cleaning cleaning company is worth their weight in gold. My cousin, Giacomo (or "Jack" as he's known, eldest son of my late fathers younger brother) and his youngest son Antonio (who is my god son and is named after me) do carpet cleaning at my properties. Both are really passionate about their work, and of late have been moving more towards eco friendly and sustainable cleaning method (which gets a big tick from me, though playfully I give Jack crap for taking ages to get with the programme, he gives as good as he gets). I loved watching you guys at work and passion for your craft. Big thumbs up. 👍
