That's what they told my 82 yr old mother and wanted to drill into her bones in her hips to test for the Leukemia and she said absolutely not. That was 2 years ago and she won't go back.
For some reason I was weirdly obsessed with leukemia 20+ years ago after learning about the Atomic Bombs dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki during WWII in school and how many Japanese people got leukemia after it, and hearing about some of the tests for it sounded like a scene pulled right out of a horror movie.
I also have lymphoma, diagnosed in 2018. Had chemo for 6 months. It came back Dec 2024. I'm on pills now. Ps my 1st bone marrow biopsy was in Drs office. Bad experience. I had one this month in hospital with CT imaging to help find marrow. Much easier and no pain. Mild sedation
Best of luck, I just went in today to a Oncologist, Hematologist for more blood work. My fetitin level is 712.2 ...300 or below is normal, 1000 is fatal... Jesus please pray for me and everyone that is sick, Amen 🙏🙏🙏🙏
My hemoglobin was a 3 and i was pregnant. They didnt know how I was standing. I had gone from work to be seen and looked like death. That eas scary and my husband was gone, out of the country.

@michaelmaney5712 it does hurt but fortunately my haematologist decided after my first one I need to have a light sedation which means sno pain
@@traveller1753 I don’t know why light sedation or general anesthesia isn’t used for this test. There’s no reason to feel anything.

i had the same thing and ended up have 2 stem cell transplants in 2006

My brother was very anemic found out it was Acute Myeloid Leukemia and was gone 7 months later
