Hey Karma, the go-loud/ go-silent quick key that you were asking for is Shift+ F. Ive notice that when breaching a room you have the guy pying the entire time, one thing I'd recommend is to have them py when then enter but when they reach their Point of Domination (PoD), you right click the direction you want them to face. This will eliminate the character facing backwards when breaching the next room. The thermal torch is technically quieter than the slap charge but can be seen at range during night maps. As for muting the voices, the "silent go codes" mod has seemed to mute all character dialogue for me so that might be worth looking into. I hope that helps, keep up the good work. I'll be watching.
A clean run, I like that you're approching the problem realistically and you're disgarding limitation of the game. Accounting for vehicle is nice and your explanation are always clear.
Why did you do it then? Genuinely wondering why the caps, why that word specifically and no other and why only caps that and not the whole sentence?@@TTREEz
A couple of Workshop maps I enjoyed for anyone interested: Three-Headed Serpent by Plizquadrat - Already similar to going in blind mods in Vanilla with lights turning on when entering areas of the map, you take 3 insurgent leaders into custody via a large underground base. NP_TotalCQB #11 [Night mission] by Ninja_Prime - Smallish yet difficult eliminate terrorists map with civilians present. Operation Kayla Mueller by Gold - Night Map set in desert with 2 small and 1 large compound to take control of with an underground cave at the end. Rough around the edges but pretty fun. (Note: it gives you a "medic" as a 12th squad mate, I'm guessing as part of some mod but acts as a standard rifleman in practice. Siege by Plizquadrat - Inspired by Black Hawk Down in gameplay. Rescue and escort VIP to exit in a large slums district with zero rooms to take cover outsude of breaking into a locked tiny shack, with a large helicopter crash in the center of the map, which is one of 2 spawn points for the VIP. Out of all of these, this is the only one I have beaten. ARC-23 Cold Rescue by DrSqua - Winter Map hostage rescue breaching a house with lots of obstacles to work around and feels like a very lived in house irl. 101 E Linfield St by Sauer - Very small map, not great for a long video on but a fun nevertheless. Into The Jungle by Cyan Hood - Night Hostage Rescue set in Jungle; haven't really played it but seems fun and challenging.
Blind runs are nice for general locations or foreign territory missions, but in an ambassador home, special forces would have access to the building blueprints.
In a real world scenario there's really only one reason to do this. If you are still going quiet and the ability to communicate is limited, you wouldn't want to walk your hostage through the door without being able to confirm that it is you and your HVT coming through. Especially in low-light conditions, one wrong ID and you end up getting yourself and the hostage shot. That said, they had already gone loud, would have most certainly have been in communication, and was definitely a viable option. Having said that, the guys working the hallway were still somewhat exposed and having to 'work' the hallway, so it may just been easier to minimize bodies not actively scanning for targets in a minimized space.
These recent doorkickers videos got me into the game, I would love a video where you break down some of these tactical ideas so I can start implementing them myself!
This was the only gaming video I ever watched in its entirety. Brilliantly entertaining, it was like watching a movie. Thanks for introducing me into this amazing game. You are inspiring. Here's to hoping that you'll do more DK2 content.
really enjoying the dk2 vids, hope you keep playing so you get a better feel for the mechanics and muscle memory of the game and can focus on planning and tactics

Ik you brought this up last video but I don't think the SAW is used anymore. At least not in this type of setting. Maybe as mounted weapons on trucks and such. While i was in the USMC and learning how to use the 240b, we were constantly told the SAW is being phased out by the 240. That was like 4 years ago now so. They also were getting rid of humvees and completely dissolved the tank units in the usmc.
I truly love this game and never played it I want to so badly been watching your walkthroughs and gameplay for the last few weeks. Thank you for your content
Personally I prefer it when you dont mod more units into the maps. I get its realistic and its what you go for on this channel but for balance reasons i find it more interesting. Your units in door kickers are already far better skilled and have faster reaction times than the enemies, you dont also need a 2:1 unit advantage
@@ajpk5529 he described it loosely in his previous video. If I recall correctly he said it was a config file to reduce the cost of units. I think he even credited the person who told him. I recommend re-watching that vid
I really love your nomenclature and language. I’d appreciate a video lesson on what these terms mean and when the tactics best apply. That way I can write that stuff down and incorporate it into my own gameplay.
32:57 The door in the hallway could have been used to move the hostage to containment faster and get your fourth gun in the stack since they are covered and you were working the hallway. Why did you have him run back through the entry route? Just curious
I would say going through an extra door technically could lead to finding a trap. Also realistically I think it's a lot easier for the guy on the ground to not even realize those doors are exterior, but that wasn't really in play from what I could tell in his explanations.
the best thing to do when entering dynamic is have your op check different directions at certain points of entry. For example if you want to strong wall right, you can have your op clear right, then look deep.
Building on the right is a map border, I’m pretty sure. The interior is colored with grid lines like the rest of the stuff outside the bounds of the map
@35:20 i would probablyl keep oraange as he is, and send out one soldier to outside through the door in front of hostage room and pie around the North side window where we see the dining table and then open the door from outside that is in the corner beside the orange who as SA on the big hall. But who ia m to say. i have never played the game, and only started watching your videos since yesterday :D

No they wouldn’t have they wouldn’t have done almost anything he did in this. Soon as the first shot was fired with hostages on the premises this would have been as very fast op. Not much waiting as he did would have been 3-4 mins at most before the got out of the building and or cleared the whole building. 8 men would make easy work of this.
I like these vids you're putting out. Been watching a bunch of them. Great game. And cool to be able to pick up on some of the CQB lingo. Question: What does the term "collapse" mean in this context? SCP Operation Everest is a great workshop mission. Starts you outside and down a path infront of a mountain side base.
