V6 ecoboost doesn't sound horrible just doesn't sound like a V8.
It doesn't suit the raptor
Southern Nevada offroading and back country no buddy, it sounds fuckin horrible! I own a 2019 raptor supercrew and love every single thing about it except the sound. It doesn’t bother me because I knew this would sound like shit ahead of time. Truck is stupid fast for how heavy it is though.
Agreed! I just put the MBRP 4” cat back on my 2.7. It has no rap noise it’s smooth throughout all RPM’s
If I was an old rich guy with a raptor I'd take out my hearing aid to drive it.
Joe Momma the sound is the only thing holding me back from buying a 19 raptor. No truck comes close to looking as good as the raptor in my opinion, it has great performance, but I just hate the sound. For me to drop that kind of money on a truck in needs 3/3 percormance, looks, sound, the raptor currently has 2/3
A lot of people complain about the V6, but you have to work with what you're given. I think you found the exhaust system I want to get. Made the twin-turbo V6 sound acceptable during acceleration and quieted down while cruising. About the 9-minute mark with the external shot of the exhaust sold me on it. Thank you!
I got closed to 3K miles with this AWE 1FG setup on my 2020 raptor in which replaced the borla Atak I had on the truck for about 5K miles. This setup allowing me to get annoyingly loud when I wanted it to vs the atak which always on the ataking mode =) Plus, my ears much preferred the noise from this system. I've also noted that this system would tone down a little after well broken in. Thanks for an entertaining upload
Curious to ask, I just got a 2017 Raptor. I would like it to be aggressive. Is the ATAK a good option for that? I just sold my 5.0 and I miss being able to have audible exhaust when you press the pedal.

Your channel is one of the best channels on TH-cam (in my opinion). Great editing and length of the video. I know filming is a hobby to you, but you should promote the channel, especially with the software background that you have. I agree with a lot of the other comments saying that this should be a 500k subscriber channel. I always enjoy watching these, mostly because of the content and edits, but also because your frequency of posting is good. Once - twice a week is perfect, and 10-15 minute videos is spot on. You should look into some quick jacks they are a quick way to lift up the cars/ trucks without worrying about the bigger 2 or 4 post lifts. Its not bad, but its also pretty hard to make a v6 turbo sound decent especially on a truck.

I ran into similar problems when i installed a Borla ATAK system on mine. The exhaust note was so shrill i got self concious driving it and couldnt enjoy it. I switched out to a Borla S-Type and have run that ever since. The exhaust note on these trucks is honestly unsavable, as much as i love the truck. This system sounds like it does a pretty decent job putting lipstick on a pig though. Thx for the vid.

A man on the muffler shop told me once if you leave the pipes shorter will sound more...! So my friend has a ford f150 3.5 v6 and the guy in the shop set it up like a ford ligntning the tips in front of the back tire and sounded pretty good ..!

I know performance wise this Raptor is better than the previous gen, but the V8 makes a whole difference in sound. I haven’t heard a v6 sound near a v8.

i went with a borla atak on mine at first but ended up with an s-type instead. that v6 cant be saved. it sounds way better now than it did stock but im just waiting for a v8 truck that excites me to come out to replace it at this point.

Going to get rid of mine for an M5 within a year to two. It’s a great truck but don’t expect it to give you the same joy as a performance car.

@@gl0boy764 its not meant to give you the same joy on the road. That's like saying don't expect the M5 to give you as much joy off road. Its designed for off road performance.
concentrate on its strengths.. ie the BOV and the turbo sound. you have to own it. personally, I like mine as quiet as it can be... makes for a better ride experience.

Man...still doesn’t touch the sound of the 6.2 from previous gen, but sounds a lot better. My Raptor was my fave truck I ever owned.
It does sound pretty good. I just have a flowmaster 50 series delta flow without a resonator.

Odd, everyone is talking about V8s, but the V6 in this truck will eat the 1st Gen raptor & the new V8 in the f250 tremor doesn't produce as much power either, oh & the 3.5 is lighter also. If it's good enough to put in the GT exotic then figure it out!

Cool video, but if you want your raptor to sound like it should, put SPD Downpipes and a Corsa Extreme exhaust on it. Watch my videos...you can't beat my setup. Not being cocky, just REALLY nice sound.
