    Nice flying. Wish they had one of these for a 206.

    Is power-off flight affected, is range improved?

    182 is overall the best do all plane ever built. This looks like a wren ad of old ! No reversible prop ? Many a wren owners banged the firewall with the prop in reverse ! I have flown skydivers for years in all kinds of 180s through 185s. They all do the best of any job ask. For the price, weight and added fuel use, one must ask is this conversion worth it ?Could be, The wren did not make it

    hangliders have to stay under the 130 degree nose swivel angle rule and the only other way is a cannard ..boeings 737 is grounded because of this problem of the incidence not activating because of luffing modulations decentering the lift centroid .. burt rutans cat bird is another good example and the italian paggio .. triple tandem wings are ahead of their time most engineers dont under stand harmonic modulations luffing the rear incidence rule and tail slides and flat spins and divergents ..... skeatesybubbuygoddess 2020

    It looks a lot like serbian airplane called SILA, but its probably a lot more expensive then SILA.

      @xeriotti 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      SILA... Is tha same as an Aeroandina MXP-150 Kimbaya 2... or an AMD Patriot... I think they are all made in Colombia by Aeroandina (MXP Aircraft)

    So the addition of the canard that is 1/10 the size of the wing allows you to fly at low speed at a low angle of attack? That makes no sense. I can understand that you have reduced trim drag and improved pitch response so that you aren't elevator limited at forward cg. But the canard can't reduce the aoa at a given speed by very much. You can't do slow flight at 0 aoa. It is still the wing that is producing 95% of the lift and it needs aoa to do it. Your cl vs aoa curve has not shifted that much. This flat attitude thing is marketing wank. Most pilots don't have an engineering background so it is easy to baffle them with bullshit.

    • @KB4QAA
      @KB4QAA 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      RVguy: No marketing wank. Look at the plane flying in a level attitude with 20 degrees of flap. Fact.

    • @sblack48
      @sblack48 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pelican1984 then the unmodified cessna does as well. The canard can't change that. All it does is improve pitch authority

      So go bring a regular 182 in at 50 knotts and let us know how wrong are eyes are

    • @pauldavid1027
      @pauldavid1027 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      To clarify the defenition of slow flight.... the addition of power, to fly at a slower airspeed. Power over drag. This has nothing to do with angle of attack, other than what you are used to seeing in conventional aircraft.

    • @sblack48
      @sblack48 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pauldavid1027 you think drag has nothing to do with aoa? it has everything to do with aoa. There are two drag components, parasite (cd0) and induced (kClsquared). At a certain aoa these are equal. That is the min. power speed. Any speed below this, or aoa above this, and you need to increase power. Everything in aerodynamics has to do with aoa.
