    Hello po REE here. May 3 yrs work experience in construction industry. Ngayon na hire po ako as Mall Engineer. Ano po ba difference ng galing sa construction at ngayon na sa pagiging Mall Engineer at ano pinagkaiba din ng Facilities, building and Mall Engineer? Sana po mapansin. Thank you 🥰

    • @joshruanto
      @joshruanto  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yow Engr! Thanks for asking!
      This is based on what I understand. You can check sa ibang mga kakilala mo.
      First, let's address the difference between Mall Engineer & Site Engineer
      If Mall Engineer, basically ang function mo ay Operations & Maintenance ng electro-mechanical equipment of all trades (e.g. electrical, mechanical, plumbing, sanitary, etc). Basta lahat ng installation na nasa common area ng Mall hawak mo. Sa pagkalaalam ko, pag tenant ng mall hindi mo na scope yun.
      Unlike sa construction, may specific trade & scope ka. Kung REE, electrical installations based on the plan.
      Second, yung difference between Mall, Facilities and Building. Similar sila na "Operations & Maintenance" and difference lang ay yung;
      - procedures, kase syempre iba ibang rules naman per management
      - equipment & system, may mga equipment na wala sa ibang establishments like Data Centers, STP, Chillers, Cooling Towers, etc.
      So ayun langs, sana nasagot ko tanong mo. Galingan mo! 😁

    Hi Engineer, thank you po sa video niyo. Malaking tulong po ito sa akin. May Job offer po kasi sa akin ngayon as Building Engineer sa isang real state developer company. Baka puwedeng makahingi ng tips engineer. BS Civil Engineering graduate po ako engineer, hingi sana ako tips engineer sa mga kailangan ko paghandaan sa trabaho as building engineer.
    Salamat Engineer! Godbless!

      Yow Engr! You're very welcome! 😁
      Tip ko bro once na andun ka na
      1. Know Your Area
      - familiarize mo sarili mo sa hinahandle mong property, malaki advantage mo if kabisado mo area
      2. Know Your Equipment
      - aside from familiarity sa area, you must know your equipment (if sa Operations & Maintenance ka) such as pumps, motor, generators, etc. Since Civil Engineer ka medyo maghahabol ka sa technical knowledge. Pero kaya mo yan, kase madaming information available online and sa YT. You just need to understand how it operates and goods na yun.
      3. Know Your People
      - one of the keys para mahandle mo ng maayos ang property mo is to find the right people.
      - and if hindi mo pa sila nahahanap, you must know them like skills, weaknesses, strengths and as much as possible personal life kase importante na may maganda kang relationship sa mga kasama mo sa work.
      Yun langss Engr, kaya mo yan :)

    Engr. Baka may video ka kung pano at diskarte mo para malaman Ang capacity at available capacity Ng Isang building salamat sana masagot

    • @joshruanto
      @joshruanto  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yow bro, I assume Electrical Capacity ng Building ang gusto mo malaman.
      First, check the As-built Electrical Plans and check the Load Schedule.
      2nd, pinaka madali is to go to get the capacity of your main power transformers and i-add mo lang.
      For example:
      Transformer 1: 3 MVA
      Transformer 2: 3 MVA
      Transformer 3: 1 MVA
      Total: 7 MVA
      Ganun lang yung alam mong way to compute :)
      If may nalaman ka pang other way, just let me know. Thank you 😁

    Hello engr! Thank you po sa video nyo! 😁
    Bale po, newly hired po ako as a Building Engineer in a commercial/residential building (condominium po and BPO companies na nag rent sa building) and starting ako by November next month and this is my supposed to be my VERY FIRST JOB, so I have no work experience pa and can I kindly ask for advice from you or any tips po from you, a successful engineer, on what things do I need to focus or prepare for this job? Or any advice po on what things I need to expect or ready on my first day? 🥺 Para naman di ako mag mukhang petchay on my first day 😂
    I'm a fresh graduate and newly licensed ME po, and if pwede po, manghingi ng advice or any tips regarding on being a competent Building Engineer? 🥺
    Thank you very much po! And more power to you and your channel ☺️🎉

    • @joshruanto
      @joshruanto  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi Engr! Thanks for asking, I appreciate your question.
      As first timer, ma-advice ko ay;
      1. Know the company procedures, malaking advantage yon para hindi ka ma-overwhelm.
      - reporting
      - purchasing
      - signing of work permits
      - contracts for service providers
      2. Know your people
      - you'll be handling technicians came from different walks of life. Yung iba dyan mas Senior pa sayo in terms if technical side. What I did that work is to build a good relationship with them, know all the things that they know and be a supportive leader to them.
      3. Know your equipment and facilities
      - as much as possible, makabisado mo lahat ng area. Kung hindi mo pa napupuntahan, puntahan mo. Inspect mo para makabisado mo. In that way, kahit magusap kayo verbally you can visualize the place.
      For now, yun lang muna. I'm sure may mag ga guide din sayo 😁
      Galingan mo sa work mo! 😉

      Yow bro! If first time mo sa ganyang position it takes experience kase talaga to grasp yung technical knowledge but for starters here are my tips for your upcoming interview;
      As Building Engineer you will be handling;
      - Unit/Customer Concerns: like problems in their units related to plumbing, electrical and mino civil work. Like palit gripo, water leak, palit outlet, etc. Basta yung mga day to day sa bahay
      - Preventive Maintenance: it's very common sa lahat ng facilities to conduct PM sa lahat ng equipment and installation ng building
      - Regulatory Compliance: Part of our job to secure permits in LGU and other government agencies like BFP, DENR, and DOE. Madaming permit ba kelangan i-secure like electrical & mechanical permits, permit to operate, fire safety inspection certificate, etc.
      - Special Projects: we're also responsible sa improvement and repair ng property na hinahandle naten. Like installation of additional lightings, improving the external paint or facade, repair and replacement of electro-mechanical equipment, etc
      - People Management: we'll be handling different persons with different backgrounds. It's also our responsibility to guide, direct, lead and unite these amazing people.
      So far yun lang, just be honest and true to yourself during thr interview. Basta makita nilang willing ka they will consider you.
      Yun langs, I hope makatulong. Galingan mo and conduct further research! God bless you! 😁🫡

      Hi Bro Bill Aquino, sorry late reply medyo busy lang.
      I suggest search mo muna job description ng Building Engineer. Then irelate mo sa skills and knowledge mo. Usually sa technical knowledge nagkakatalo. Kaya I suggest search ka paano nag o operate ang mga systems sa isang Building like Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and Sanitary.
      If wala ka pang experience. Try to apply muna as shift engineer, kase Building Engr is a higher position.
      Mag content ako ng Building Systems Overview para maguide ko kayo.
