King Misuzulu appoints new AmaZulu Prime Minister

Cultural experts say King Misuzulu kaZwelithini's decision to appoint a deputy Prime Minister will neutralise the position, and bring about stability to the Zulu nation. At the weekend, the King announced Zululand District Municipality Mayor, Thulasizwe Buthelezi, as the new traditional prime minister, and former Chair of the House of Traditional Leaders, Inkosi Phathisizwe Chiliza, as his deputy. The move comes three months after the death of Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi. The Zulu monarch has emphasised that the appointments are not politically motivated and that he had chosen the best candidates for the job.
