Obviously this is 100% speculation but stuff like "don't wear makeup" and "dress differently" can be a way for controlling people to test the waters at the start of a relationship - to see what they can get away with. After that it's "don't go out with your friends" and "don't talk to your parents" and suddenly you find yourself isolated from people who could help you leave the relationship. It seems to me like the whole “Lydia is a stalker” thing could be overblown by Uche. I think he feels the need to cling to that so he feels important. Portraying someone as crazy is a main trait of a narcissist. The two were still talking and sleeping together after the official end of the relationship. The “I see you” could have been the equivalent of “hey, just drove by your place, waving to you through the phone!” Especially if they live in the same neighborhood. He’s painting the picture of the psycho ex from the Beyonce thriller. Like, come on, dude. With the viewed stories, it’s a bit weird to me that these people Uche follows would bring this to his attention like it’s some serious thing. Like “how dare you use an instagram account to view a public story”. It’s not that serious and it’s not uncommon to go down an IG rabbit hole and look at a friend or ex’s likes and become interested in the people in their IG circle. Even if it’s an ex. I’ve had that same kind of morbid curiosity, even if it came from a place of jealousy at the time. It’s not always healthy but it is natural for some people. What’s more telling is how hot under the collar he’s getting over it, putting his lawyer hat on and meddling in her and Milton’s relationship. It feels like he’s grasping for straws to stay relevant in her life or to influence (or, um, sabotage) her current relationship. Like, who cares? Seems like Uche does. When she walks away, he seems like he’s fighting to stay relevant in her life. I feel like he also might be dredging up stuff that happened a while ago. He says she knew he was going to be on the show, but I’m taking that with a big ol’ hunk of salt considering how he is acting. She was probably heartbroken and hung up on him, but I think there are some crucial discrepancies between his perception and the reality. It seemed like he was trying to get a confession out of her (in his domineering lawyer way), like “yeah, you’re right, I’m obsessed with you”. Maybe he wants that for his ego or something. I’m not saying she’s perfect, but I find myself siding with her more.
Allegedly there were two or three other couples who got engaged in the pods, including one couple where the girl (Renee) had a boyfriend during filming! She ended up with the cute, burly dude but production cut all of it out.
My guess is Izzy is a lot more sensitive than he appears, like only got hot after high school vibes and his self worth is lower than he lets on. Hopefully they’ll be able to move past it!

And i dont normally wear makeup, but if a guy told me not to wear makeup, I'd be like "um, i do what i want. Some days i do wanna do myself up, and thats my choice." If you decide youre not attracted to me, you dont love me. Love is choosing to be with someone regardless, to let them be who they are or look who they want to look. Thats not your place to tell them how to look. Theyre a grown adult, they can decide for themselves. Yes, women like being told we're attractive without makeup. But we dont like being told we're only loved when we look a certain way.

I’m also planning on pursing a PHD either right after graduation or after working in the field for a few years, and when looking at what that will entail he definitely wouldn’t be able to commit the time needed to a marriage.

Stacey definitely isn’t being too harsh, Johnie was pretty awful about her for no reason other than jealousy. Even when it wasn’t clear who Izzy would choose, Stacey never said a bad word about her. Izzy could definitely chill, but I think because she told him and Chris two different things at the end of the pods, now he feels like he was being manipulated the entire time he was being vulnerable with Johnie. Which is kind of understandable, tbh.

Portraying someone as crazy is a main trait of a narcissist. The two were still talking and sleeping together after the official end of the relationship. The “I see you” could have been the equivalent of “hey, just drove by your place, waving to you through the phone!” Especially if they live in the same neighborhood. Beyonce thriller. Like, come on, dude. With the viewed stories, it’s a bit weird to me that these people Uche follows would bring this to his attention like it’s some serious thing. Like “how dare you use an instagram account to view a public story”. It’s not that serious and it’s not uncommon to go down an IG rabbit hole and look at a friend or ex’s likes and become interested in the people in their IG circle. Even if it’s an ex. I’ve had that same kind of morbid curiosity, even if it came from a place of jealousy at the time. It’s not always healthy but it is natural for some people. What’s more telling is how hot under the collar he’s getting over it, putting his lawyer hat on and meddling in her and Milton’s relationship. It feels like he’s grasping for straws to stay relevant in her life or to influence (or, um, sabotage) her current relationship. Like, who cares? Seems like Uche does. When she walks away, he seems like he’s fighting to stay relevant in her life. I feel like he also might be dredging up stuff that happened a while ago. He says she knew he was going to be on the show, but I’m taking that with a big ol’ hunk of salt considering how he is acting. She was probably heartbroken and hung up on him, but I think there are some crucial discrepancies between his perception and the reality. When JP told Taylor "dont wear makeup", he essentially said "i only love you under certain appearances". Its cruel. And i dont normally wear makeup, but if a guy told me not to wear makeup, I'd be like "um, i do what i want. Some days i do wanna do myself up, and thats my choice." If you decide youre not attracted to me, you dont love me. Love is choosing to be with someone regardless, to let them be who they are or look who they want to look. Thats not your place to tell them how to look. Theyre a grown adult, they can decide for themselves.
