Proper overhead highlight film where we can actually see the player's talent. Unlike those zoom in highlights made by people who know nothing about football.
Just some scouting thoughts, thinking out loud here. He has heavy legs which means a lack of stop and go speed. He showed problems in the video getting his hands on some of the nifty speed guys because of this. His feet have a choppiness to them because of the "heavy legs". Not a positive, especially at the NFL level where QBs can be incredibly elusive. He has issues bringing guys down on tackles. He tries using way too much upper body to bring guys down. Wrap them at the hip and lasso the feet like a cowboy.
Lmao terrible scouting bro 😂 Stop and go speed doesn’t make a great DE. And getting his hands on nifty OL is not part of his job description, his job is to GO AROUND OL not get hands on them by any means. And your footwork take is terrible lmao you basically trashed this man and predicting a bust.

I appreciated the (rare) internet courtesy shown, so I decided to give you as thorough an answer as I could reasonably write -- at 5:30 AM, no less. So, even if you think I'm talking out of my ass, just please read it. Would make me a bit angry if I wrote all this/that for (literally) no one, ha.
It's just hard to know if this is the Jaelan who'll be balling for NFL franchises year-in and year-out. It's why Basham has such a strong following, and could (likely) be selected over Phillips. However, as we've touched on, as much as I truly love Basham in a 4-3, the sky is the limit for Phillips. Even Basham has SOME physical limitations.
@@uncletom356 oh i c ok thanks for your educated opinion on jaelan phillips and these draft prospects and I could only imagine that this year will be the toughest to scout and evaluate these prospects with no combine and only pro days because of the corona virus still going on. I just hope everything will go back to normal once again and there will be fans in the crowd once again next football season.
Him an Bosa would be a match made in heaven
imagine he slips to the niners in the 2nd
@@JohnDoe-ve7qw would be nice but likely won’t
HOLY CHIT...FINS UP!
A follow-up: Maybe Jaelan can help start a new generation of the No Name Defense.
How did he end up with #15? What a terrible number for a pass rusher.
He’s got a relentless motor and actually uses an inside swim move, could see him in BAL
Hope browns take him
@Hi uhhhh....6’-5” and 265
@Hi he’s a physical prototype my dude
Jason Taylor part2
Proper overhead highlight film where we can actually see the player's talent. Unlike those zoom in highlights made by people who know nothing about football.
I wanna watch em so watch this man
Please draft him miami
Casual
We got him!
Dolphins found a gem!!!! 8.5 sacks already
0:29 ayeeeee
Lmaoooo I got hyped too 😂😂😂
Come on over to Nashville
Looking like Julius Peppers tearing up the ACC
He’s not even close to Julius Peppers but you’re funny bro!
This guy is pretty good. He should play for the Dolphins.
looks like fit in 3-4 defense. Dallas now runs 4-3 and they have tank on left side. I like the player but I don't see fit with Dallas.
If this kid can stay healthy Josh Allen Tua Newton will be running for there lives. Dude is a bonafied blue chipper.
He's on Tua's team...
@@terbofishing6402 lol my bad
INTERESTING VIDEO!!!
With the 12th pick in the NFL Draft 49ers select...
He would look good opposite of Nick Bosa.
This dude gonna be a beast in purple and black 💜🖤💜🖤💜🖤
If we don’t get Bateman than we should definitely take him for sure!
Mel kiper just recently predicted that he'll fall to our ravens at pick 27. Lets hope he's right.
@@jermaineblackwood592 fr
@ 0:29 what did he say! 😷😂
his mom is black and you wouldn’t check him in real life for saying it lol
@@Aplestamatos2 No one was "checking" him lol, it was just funny that it got caught on the mic.
@@TeamKirk1 dude his get off speed does not pop off on film. Look at his teammates they get off faster than he does
He’s got bend, get-off, hands, and, most of all, discipline. Best edge other than Garrett and Young in the last 5-6 years
fins up!!!
Welcome to Baltimore.
Let’s go!
If only he didn’t have those medical concerns so many concussions if not for that he would easy be a top 10 pick and should be
I’ve been saying this myself. He’s my favorite prospect in this whole draft and I DESPERATELY want him to be a Giant
:28 He yells " Let's go nigga" 😭 😭 😭 😭
Fuck that shit
If not for the concussions he would be Edge#1.
Phins up baby
I'd like him as a Cleveland brown!!
If they play him......we need that extra,,,,,Edge......Browns to the game this year....So I can Die a Happy man !.......ET
Titans ⚔
I’d like for Patriots to trade up for a qb but if that doesn’t happen and they trade down a couple spots I’d like them to take him if they do trade down from like 15 to 21
The niners with the 12th pick need to draft this kid jaelan phillips so he can play with nick bosa because those 2 guys would wreck the NFL
@Joshua Exantus yeah he would because dee Ford will probably need to retire because his back is still messed up but after watching some other edge pass rushers i think the niners might be better off draft azeez ojulari from Georgia because he would probably be a better fit with nick bosa.
Studying #UGA pass rusher Azeez Ojulari - Serious juice off the edge. Finished his career with 15 sacks in 13 starts. violent Chop with the outside arm. Just a fluid, natural, loose athlete. Shows up time and time again.
What I love about Ojulari is that it all starts with his Long Arm move and he has a bunch of change ups off it. He has a plan as a rusher. Not JUST about tools with him. But you can’t teach that balance, flexibility or finish either! #UGA
Jaelan Phillips is the most advanced/well-rounded pass rushing prospect in this #2021NFLDraft class
Pass Rush Plan High Side - Bend/Corner Speed to Power Spin Counter Moves Awareness - Retraces/Flattens Stunts/Games Sub 3-Tech Alignments Violent, Active Hands Change of Direction
Love his motor. Needs more strength but he can add that with an NFL trainer. I hope The Buccaneers get him at #32 🙏
Definitely needs more strength. Has difficulty finishing tackles on his own, gets taken for a ride
He’s projected to go to the chiefs
Not anymore, Chiefs better fix that exodus that's happening w their starting Oline
@@KingCount94 they should but Philips won’t be bad for them either
Get him steelers bring that week 5 steelers defense back when bud went down the defense felt it.
Want Phillips and tj watt make qb’s have nightmares
Have highsmith as rotation constant heat all day.
Ready to stay home and play for the dolphins??🐬🐬🐬
Grier is that you??
@@TedBundy-sy5rf hahaha
Hopefully browns draft him
hes either joey bosa or kyle van noy
This Man a problem

Heard the same thing
HAHAHAH
@@FreeBirdVince savage lmao
Justin Houston will visit the Ravens on tuesday and if we sign him along with drafting this guy we will be a nightmare for Qb's.
A good looking Chicago bear
Interesting
Let’s Go Colts u kno wat to do
Not falling
Detroit need D Line...he would fit nicely
To my browns at 26
I’m not a Cowboy fan but this is a perfect fit for them at 10. I don’t see Jerry Jones passing on this type of talent.
don't see him passing up on surtain either so and phillips at 10 even tho he could be worth it its kind of a reach
Welcome to chiefs first round
Second that
Gonna look good in purple
...and GOLD
23 to the Jets 🤞
Imagine him and Joey Bosa ⚡️
Dolphins
Steelers probly wont draft him but it would be nice
He is going to Carolina
So him and Rosseau wear same Jersey number
Rosseau opted out last season so he took the number.
@@jeremiahspears871 o ok I don't keep up with college football just like the prospect coming into the draft but whoever get this guy is get the next Jared allen hopefully he can keep polishing his game
