A very fun & entertaining video, both of you enjoying a bourbon barrel aged Cali Cab was a real shocker, ha! It almost seemed as the prices got higher the wines quality got worse. Or at least the quality didn't have a decent QPR. I think the wine taxes and/or VAT in Korea is too high, so it's hard to judge price vs. value across so many markets. I got the Izadi Selleccion Reserva for 15 US$ at Costco, so seeing the Crianza for 25 US $ was pretty painful. Again, this video shows that higher priced wines don't translate into higher quality; you have to know the region, the vintage and the producer. Thanks for tasting these wines so we can avoid the rubbish ones.
Since I live in the Barossa Region I always drink a lot of Barossa Shiraz, and sometimes I wonder if I'm missing out on "Better" Wine, yet I keep seeing Barrosa/South Australian wines in these lists so maybe I am already drinking best!

Then late in the evening, after the email specials have expired, I watch the video to see you recommend it! Ha! I could have had it for 2.88 after rebate. You can’t make this stuff up! Ha! I stumbled across a bottle of 1924 in Iteawon this afternoon. Had to buy it after seeing this review last week. I paid 25,000 won for it, so I’m not sure if it’s the same price you quoted in the video. Looking forward to trying it.
Love these reviews but i think your currency conversion is off. For example 50000 won is closer to 40 than it is to 30 when discussing price points in wine

It has to be Cain he's referring to. I went to a trade tasting in Scottsdale right before COVID and remember the lady pouring Cain Five jump back slightly as she smelled the cork from one bottle and proceed to open a second before she poured me a sample. Not sure why she needed to put it near her nose - I could smell it from six feet away.
질문 하나 하고 싶은데, 이전 영상들에서 비싼 와인들로 시작해봤자 품종간 차이를 알 수 없다면 매력을 느낄 수 없는 와인들이 많기에 1-2만원대 와인을 많이 마셔서 경험치를 키우고 위로 올라가라 했는데 와앤모나 트레이더스 등 여러 곳을 뒤져도 이 채널 전체를 통틀어 추천하신 1-2만원대 와인들을 의외로 찾기 힘들더라고요... 보인다면 보통 4-5만원대 와인으로 올라가야 많이 보이고요. 그래서 와인 공부를 이 가격대 와인들로 해도 충분히 품종별 특징을 공부할만한 가격인가 물어보고 싶습니다.
우리나라는 와인 가격이 높은 편이라, 환율로는 1-2만 원 대 와인이라도 실제 구매가는 더 높아지는 경우가 많다고 하더라고요. 저도 가격대를 조금 더 높게 찾아보니 몇 개 보였어요. 와인킹님 채널에서도 우리나라에서 판매 중인 시작용 와인 추천 영상이 몇 개 있고, 아니면 다른 곳에서 추천 와인 몇 개 찾아보셔도 좋지 않을까 싶어요!

Well, it's more what is available in South Korea rn so if they watch this and don't see x, y, or z given the volume of wines tasted they can read between the lines. The other thing is IDK how much of his business is in Korea but I doubt Jay wants to piss off a huge chunk of wine professionals there. It is what it is...
@@prccap I am guessing this wouldn't have been possible to do on a cost and time level in Korea without compromising other content.. You only have Peter there so long, you can't go wasting time driving around to find most of the available wine in south korea at all price points, buy them, the gas, the food, probably the help to also assist in this task. Peter held Jay back from showing a couple of bottles on screen on very rare occasions in the past, either out of professional courtesy or he was wary of annoying someone very specific.
I remember it was one of the conditions Jay offered to the distributors that he will not reveal the 'shitty wines' in order to convince them to participate. They're not forcing him.

개인적인 생각인데 최종구매가3만원 이상은되야 품종특성이 뚜렷한느낌이였습니다
거기서 30%정도 가격 올리셔야 맞을겁니다. 실제로 1~2만원대 추천에서 나온 와인중에 캔달잭슨 쇼비뇽블랑도 이마트 판매가 3만5천원 정도 합니다.
와 이번에 또다시 저희 가게가 나왔네요 또 구입해야 할 와인이 늘었구요

they have different expectations to how complex each wine has to be each price level. so they do a lot
