I always love how "correct" some of these sonic speedruns look like, almost as if devs intentionally pictured these up in their minds when making the games.

I love just how much mobility Sonic has in this hack. You can get running from a standstill really quick, there's moves to launch you in practically every direction and the levels let you zip across them if you know the layout. I wonder if this hack is still in development...

This is a finished game, yes its supposed to be only 1 level long. Also this was made by Steath over a decade ago...the main guy who programmed Sonic Mania.

I will go ahead and point a few things out:
1. Act 3 is basically an atomic explosion. Sonic is running from a *NUKE* you guys.
2. Sonic is running on electric floors in Act 3. Why isn't it damaging him?
3. Sonic literally got burnt multiple times by the looks of his sprite during Act 3.
4. The game itself is self-aware of its own difficulty. It simply watches a Modern Sonic blaze through their 3 levels of hell, and is possibly recording this.
Act 3 Is not the only one that has Electric Floors that do not Damage Sonic
But at the end of act 3 he looks fine
3. It’s the lighting
Because the power plant is blowing up. There is no electricity
Imagine if they would've shown this montage in the 90s, how much more sega would sell over nintendo

Actually it’s like the smallest fraction, have you SEEN the speeds he can reach?
This is him being sped down so the game is playable. He's actually running faster than the literal nuclear explosion behind him which is traveling at about 780 miles per hour, or about 1,255 kilometers per hour.
4:32 this still depicts what Sonic reeeeally goes through...all the real dangers...man Sonic Boom was such an amazing hack!! It's just so ironic that it became an actual game (of course show first) many years later.
I know, it looks fucking amazing how Sonic escape that fire/explosion.

Algorithms and such...you know the deal haha. It's cool though because not everyone was into Sonic the Hedgehog rom hacks like those of us who have been hacking and those who have been playing (like myself) since the early/mid 2000's, so it helps the exposure.

Love this hack! Difficulty is over the top tho. The dark lines the game gives off at the end of an Act are kinda freaky, like “Sonic survived Act 1.” Is the game self aware about it’s difficulty...?!

There's a trend to use megaman x music in sonic rom hacks, I really don't understand it, it doesn't fit Sonic's style and the sound chip really butchers those songs
Adrian Renard This entire rom hack isn’t exactly Sonic’s “style” anyway, it’s intended to be more intense and edgy. I’d say the music actually fits this one pretty well. It might just be harder to appreciate if you’re used to the song’s original context, which makes sense.
@@discountfunnyman The sound chip doesn't make the song sound good at all. It feels as if minimum effort was put into the music like they just imported a midi, changed the instruments and called it a day. It could of just been made so much better.

This is the game you cant beat the first level. This game dosent hold your hand, it says "Look, your the fastest thing alive. Tough it out." Which shows what kid of hardcore actions sonic must do to do what he gotta do as that each serious mission sonic goes on, he dosent pass it, he SURVIVES it.
Its _really_ not for beginners.
