  • The LUMINTOP Tool AA 2.0 is a great little flashlight but the button LED drains the battery. In this video I show you how to disable the LED so that your flashlight is ready to go when you need it.

    This has bothered me tremendously since I've owned this flashlight. I don't own a soldering gun but I used a candle to heat up a little screwdriver and pop those little suckers off. I used needle nose pliers too unspin the internal spring part. All in it took me 5 minutes and this lightweight super cheap flashlight is much better. Thanks for the video!

    That blue light is the reason I bought this flashlight!

      @@willworkforliberty I recently purchased one after watching your video I don't use it for an EDC I just like to have it on my nightstand. I also found some LEDs on eBay for that light to change the color if you prefer. I hope the battery drains not substantial

    I dont get the ring to move like its clued . In I forum I read about this mod and there he removes not the led but the resistor. Worked also.

    You can also use a regular lipo battery. It only lights up if uses a 14500

    This is certainly a cool hack. However, I don’t mind the slight twist to disengage the blue glow light. I cannot think of a particular emergency where I would not have time to engage power.
    Also, while less power, a AA rechargeable is a great light as well. I run one with 14500 and another with AA Eneloop.
    Lumintop seems to produce “fun” flashlights. They love glowy things.
    It might not be profitable for them but perhaps next generation they could make a non-glow light option in the tool 2.0.

    Can you just pull off the damn lights? Do you solder to heat it up to pull them off? Edit: thanks for posting this video may try this. Will desodering remove the battery drain?

    • @willworkforliberty
      @willworkforliberty  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. The soldering iron heats it up and disconnects the LED, which prevents the battery drain. They are hard to take all the way off.

      @@GieszkanneIch muss sagen, die Tool 3.0 AA ist meine erste Lumintop Tool, gefällt mir sehr gut, aber wenn es eine Option gäbe um das Licht im Taster mal zwischendurch auszuschalten, wäre das schon nicht verkehrt auf Dauer.
