Good video, I'm a freshman in high school and I haven't played baseball in 3 years. (Crazy right?) I'm trying to win my position at second base and this offered solid tips. Thanks for the content!
@3:30 Hip tilt initiates shuffle, plant foot and bring entire right side through, then follow through walking to your target for consistency. You need to teach this to some golfers as well 🤣🤣
I'm a mom of a 15 year old that hasn't played since about age 10 and he's playing with boys that have been playing together most of their lives (we just moved to the state we're in...military family). My son's coach has him practicing as a center or right fielder all week long and come game time, he puts him in as second or sometimes third. I know a coach has to find a fit for the right position for the boys. I get that. What I don't think coach gets is that since he started him in outfield, we bought a larger outfielder glove and broke it in to have a larger pocket. Now at second base, he's got a huge glove with a deep pocket and the ball either jumps out of his glove or gets stuck in the pocket! What's your thoughts? Should we tell the coach (he's 28 years old) the pickle he's putting us in? (He also sometimes cusses the kids out...he knows not to try that with my son.) Or should we just buy another glove more suited to second base???
Christie M. By an infielders mit. 11/4 inch. My preference is Rawlings or Wilson. As far as the ball jumping out, make sure his throw hand is on top to secure ball once it enters the glove.
Christie M. If he is a so called utility play he should have an infield glove and outfield glove. Infield glove between 11 1/4 to 11 1/2 inch. I am a rawlings guy and have many different styles my newest model is the Pro314-2BC 11 1/2. Love it.
I think you're the first person to make a second base fielding video that's not only 2 minutes long. Thank you
Thank you!
Can't believe this has been out there for 7 years and I haven't seen it. Perfectly broken down and will use this to help my 11 year old. Thank you!

Tell ur son he’s gonna get cussed out and not to be a bitch about it. Coaches aren’t supposed to be nice. They’re supposed to get you better.
Personally I like Rawlings I or H web. 11.25 inch
Why are you making a 2B vid with a trapeze web

lefties don't play second or left side because of the throws go to left. it's slower in the turn and transition
YRA-Year Round Athlete well they do sometimes three lefties have been seen play second in mlb history since the 50’s
