Hey Austin! I discovered your channel a few days ago and the evolution of your work is impressive! You literally defy gravity. I am a female intermediate-level hiker, distance-runner and yoggi. I just found out about calisthenics and am inspired to start learning, but I don't know where to start. Your content is a bit too advanced for me. I have a lifelong background in sports (I'm 25, horse-back riding and rugby in my teen years mostly) although I've never been too serious about it. Not very strong yet: I can barely do a set of 15 regular pushups with good form, 3-4 chin-ups and I can't quite do a single pull-up yet but I feel I'm going to get it soon. Trying to get to the L plank from a dip position but not quite there either (I can easily do the romanian chair leglift thingy though!). What program should I do? I feel like I need one each just to achieve the basic exercises lol. Hope you see this message and keep the inspiration up! Greetings from France

How much "swing" should be utilized during a muscle up? I'm good at dips and pull-ups but I've never really bothered to seriously learn a muscle-up.
Nothing wrong with it when starting out, once you get comfortable then you can start trying to do more strict muscle ups

Was this actually a good routine though? I feel like working on dips isn't as important for max MU reps as a clean transition will almost 100% fatigue before your ability to dip. Like you did 10 clean in your competition; I'm 100% sure you can knock out 70 dips easily. Explosive weighted pull ups and performing submaximal MUs for sets and reps feels like a much better way to improve

Muscle ups are so tough to get your first one. I can do 22 pull-ups I should get one soon. Sometimes it hurts trying to practice muscle ups.
Guybrush Threepwood Oh yeah, they look clean when someone does them but they’re very difficult. I can only go around 3 reps occasionally 4 depending on how I feel.
If you can do 22 pull ups straight and they are real pull ups... Then you can muscle up because you have the strength. You need to practice technique and timing.
I have a question, if i’m really skinny and have basically no fat on me(not anorectic) what should I do? For example should I eat certain thinngs and what should i advoid i would love a recommendation

A front lever would help with muscle ups if what I’m thinking is correct
Nik A Front lever is harder than muscle ups. That’s why they say muscle ups help to achieve front lever, not the other way around.

try yo do chin-ups, if you can't do them use a chair for help, I started with negative chin-ups then eventually got the strength to do normal pull- ups and now I'm trying to do muscle ups. Good luck bro and don't give up
@@Dazeeishungry What really helps to get your pullups quickly ( or at least for me ) is just doing negatives. Negative pullups are when you jump up to a finish point of a pullup and lower yourself as slow as you can. If this doesn't make sense, look it up. I can't promise you it'll get pullups for you as quickly as mine did, but I think it'll help you.
