Fitting Coilovers | JOM vs ARC Coilovers

Can you maybe do a video if you can on a vw polo 8 (aw) . I've been indecisive between getting coilovers or eibach springs on my polo 8. My main concern is ride quality. I want it lower but also don't want to lose too much of the comfort and ride quality. My setup is a bit unique where wheel size is concerned . I fitted 19' wheels with 215s, so the wheels close the gap on the arch a bit, but it's still much too high. Maybe a similar video comparing 2 lowering springs vs coilovers or 2 different coilover brands but using the vw polo 8 aw.

You know how we do it in SA, just cut the springs 😂 he doesn’t have a lip on so luckily doesn’t have to go sideways

@@jamiepotgieter my springs cant be cut they taper at the ends to a smaller diameter so if i cut they cant seat correctly trust me i was contemplating it. Even just getting lowering springs is a mission i have yet to find a set.

How fitting, the video has 1 dislike and 35 likes, when I started watching. ARC or JOM, I'll choose an angle-grinder LOL. I can only imagine how much work it took, cos BMW use multilink rear suspension.

ARC is the better option by far, better quality as well, even for Golf 1 it's the best, hardly if not ever see people posting them for sale 2nd hand

How's the arc Coilovers on mk1 currently using lower rider Coilovers damn feels like I have cut springs at times, tried the extended shock mounting aswell sorry I moved away from a lowering kit lol

@@jruosfredericks8243 naah I'm enjoying the arc coilovers, I have the first gens of arc coilovers wifh the Silver shocks, you get ones with the black don't know how they but I'm sure they also just as good because again never saw any for sale yet.. And I'm driving with helpers still in, they drive smooth, obviously the lower you go you will get some bounce, but not as much as with Jom and I had mine probably 3 or 4 years now and they still drive like knew, but I look after mine, when I was my car then I take the rims off and clean the coilovers as well, it may seem excessive but if you want stuff to last then taking care of the stuff is the only way.. They are bit pricey also but so is JOMS they the same price bracket so I'd so go ARC

Sadly, we don't get these budget coilovers for our cars locally. So we don't get the lows unless we pay top dollar 💰💰💰
