Volos, I really, really want to thank you for adding code to all your projects and for helping us learn. I know it is a lot of extra work to add comments to the code but it really helps unpack what the code is doing. Again thanks for all you do and best to the family.
Woow!, wonderful as always. In addition to showing us new devices and functionalities, you are a great designer. Thank you always. I love your work!. Best regards.
Hey volos, your projects are amazing. I'm really impressed by their designs on the interfaces that you create! How do you achieve that? Maybe you can do a video with more details about it... So we can learn a little! Thanks!
Definately NOT junk.. Great demo, lots of important new features.. I expecially like the new INTERNAL Battery and ON/OFF switch .. I've ordered one I sincerely hope you consider doing a ESP NOW control project with this device.. and did I hear you say you were done using the regular S3 device? I hope not
ESP NOW is fabulous! My list of potential applications is so long that I can't choose one and get started on a practical project with a clear head! Must focus....
This is the product I've been waiting for. I currently have a T-Display with a battery crammed in the shell and a shitty switch cut in the side (inspired by Volos).
I've been contacting them about adding on/off switches to their boards for some time now. I was watching the video thinking "great!. We not have another useless case in with no power switch and need to pull the battery every time." Then I saw the bottom and the power switch and it's about damn time! Will need some of these for future projects. What do you think of the new T4? I like the old one due to the buttons but cannot justify the price point of the new one being over $70 with shipping. Sure, it has an amoled but at $40 I would most likely skip it. At approximately $70, in my opinion, they're just trying to see how much they can get away with by rising prices.
Thank you, looks interesting! We're moving soon, considering setting up some cameras. The $50 camera version might work in windows (not Microsoft!!! :) ), or perhaps with a weatherproof housing. Agree that it's not as breadboard-convenient, but that's why we specialize! :) Thanks again.
It looks great, but perhaps the on/off switch can be replaced with a system where the ESP goes into sleep mode and only consumes nano amps of power. When using one of these devices in real life, it is so easy to forget to turn it off, so a highly useful feature is the device going into sleep mode after a certain inactivity time.
This might make a great remote control/display for OpenPlotter autopilot control on Rasberry Pi. Many others working on ESP32 projects for OpenPlotter marine navigation.
Would love to see a tutorial on installing a webserver to the ESP32 such that it shows data collected from either its UART or BLUETOOTH interface. Especially using VS Code and the ESP-PROG (jtag) programmer!
Hi. I been trying to learn about the ESP32 and been watching all your videos, I have created a simple GI with Squareline Studio for a gps speedometer and "Speed Limit", I know I am trying to run before walk here but I haven't been able to successfully upload it to the esp32. Could you do a tutorial video creating anything in squareline and and uploading it to the esp32?, or if you already done it, could you send the link of the video?... Thanks.
Hello, thank you but i tried sqare line only once and i also dont know how to upload code to specific boards. You will need to congugure your lvgl library first.
Good question, I dont know but am aware you can typically solw the clock down on these devices and extend the battery perhaps 30%.. there are also ways to shut them down and into a sleep mode when you arent actively using the sensors or display and that will have a HUGE impact on the battery life.
Awesome! Is it possible to buy this without the battery? I want to have it connected to usb all the time and not sure that battery might blow up in the future for continous charging
The battery is protected from over charge. As with all protected Li-ion / poly batteries, the enemy is heat. Shouldn't be a problem in this case (pun intended).
Bravo, it's an ingenious system, I'm looking for a ttgo S3 t-display pro assembly + precision tmp117 sensor + humidity sensor. Do you have this in your files?
You could potentially add that capability yourself by sticking one of those flexible paper thin PCB wireless charging receiver modules made to tape on the back of a cell phone. I don't know a specific brand, the one I have here has the product code: PQ-RX-QI-MICRO-V11 It's 35mm wide so it would require carefully trimming or bending the edges to fit it behind the 32mm battery cover, but it's one way to add wireless charging.
looks pretty use full to me i wonder how hard would be to use one of these to show real time prices of say stocks or cryptos ? cause i could go for something like that so i dont have to check my phone all the time
It would be good content as the topic would be very interesting, however the way of presentation and talking pace is very slow going which in often case can be painful to continue watching.
"My goal is to become rich and buy a car." Respect for the honesty! I am now subscribed!
You may not get rich, but I'll support the effort! Great work.
wow! Don't say your project is useless because it inspires and teaches us a lot. Thank you very much.
This is so true!
Thank you my friend.
Totally Agree!!!!!

Thank you arlo, sorry i will try to add more comments next time.
Fantastic project Volos! The most complete demo of Lilygo's most complete product. Congratulations - you have surpassed yourself.
Thank you Nick, S3 Long is next one, we are relying on your versions off libraries and your knowledge
That's a very impressive work!
I really like the new board with the display integrated.
Well done!
Keep it up!
Thank you!
My favorite part of your videos are when you say “My goal is to become rich” or anything similar! Keep up the amazing work!
thank you, quick update, i am still poor :)
That looks like a lovely little device. $37 seems good value when compared to M5Stack Core 2. Thanks for another informative video.
Or the Core S3 - which is a better comparison if you need esp32s3.
Okay that's a sexy piece of kit. Really loving what LilyGo is doing lately.
Yes, you chosed right word.
Volos thank you kindly, you inspire me to do better!
thank you for the esp32 lilygo demonstrations! i have so many ideas in my brain.
I know the feeling :)
Thank for the tip! Tip back: Make videos using this for home assistant with ESPhome! Big viewer base at your fingertips.

tnx Sandra, i always try to make something that looks nice.

Me to, but i destroyed that switch after few days in pocket😀

Really nice device!
5:38 Ideea: I see room there for a small vibration motor, it would be cool to feel tiny vibration feedback when you do something on screen😬
That thing is real neat!
At 0:25 you held two devices. Could you provide a link to the one on the right which appears longer?
you are probably thinking on this www.lilygo.cc/0cAg0r

Looks like that board would fit a US switch/outlet box for a Home Assistant remote control/display.

@@VolosProjects Thanks, I will learn this new voodoo witchcraft...
Great video, what is the duration of the battery?
Can it be used as a kind of flipperzero?
yes, for some features, but most fliper zero features will ned external hardware
Crucial question for my application: is the touch-screen working when wearing gloves? 🤔
So is this used for developing products since everything is integrated or a do-dad that can be programmed to do what you want it to do ?
Dear Volos, do you think about squareline studio?
hello, sqare line studio is great tool, but i prefer to use primitive functions to make my designs. That way i realy understand what is happening
You should be so well off with the best Tesla car my friend ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
Dear friend. Could you please provide also those great projects with micropyton..... best regards from Brazil
nice

Thanks a lot, good video! My question: Battery included with T-Display-S3 Pro?
Thank you, yes battery is included
How long does that battery last?

I think proximity is misspelled on your main screen. Nice video.
Yes, you will see many errors in my videos, my english is nit best, thank you.

It appears to be easy enough to remove the battery.
ok that is good@@deputydog1995

i will need to make something like that, thank you :)
It have micropython library to programming the touch display?
What's the orange bit on the top/front of the case?
If this had wireless charging, I think I'd already be looking at bulk pricing...

It is not hard, i already made similar projects. here is forexample th-cam.com/video/WGp07cI4jZg/w-d-xo.html
use your cellphone or that
cool!
How long does the battery last?🔋
Hard to tell, it depend of features you want to use.
It would be good content as the topic would be very interesting, however the way of presentation and talking pace is very slow going which in often case can be painful to continue watching.
He talks this way so more people can follow. The guy does more then he needs to. So be greatfull. If it's to slow for you? Speed up your video.
2:58 “Amateur version” perhaps? 😉
This device is cool, very cool, but has a big flaw. THERE IS NO SPEAKER or even a headphone jack
My goal is to also become rich!
for the price I can get a phone!!!
Good luck programming your phone with the Arduino IDE :)
if its smaller than a credit card its no good for my eyes lol
I think he is Russian ... as per his English?
