Funny thing about algorithms: sometimes they make no sense; sometimes they make all the sense in the world. I'm so grateful you came up in my feed because I just bought a Baja LP6 for my 2023 Harley touring model, and your video affirmed I made the right buying decision. Your video is, by far, the most educational on lighting, and particularly validating in terms of explaining the high cost of the Bajas. Thank you. I subbed. ✌🤘
Been running Amber/3000k Fogs and a 15 lower on my pickup and RZR for 10-15 years. When you get into thick fog or blizzard shut the higher 5000k’s down and you will be amazed the distance and clarity you get from 3000k/amber colour. Have them on dedicated circuits you can tune your output for conditions.
I've been blown away by the Ambers, and I hope people in this video take that info, if nothing else, that if you are in fog and dust, its great to have them.
Best vid I have seen yet regarding off road lights and past experiences with other brands. Currently own an X3 Turbo R & a JKU. Had an Off-Road center in Phoenix that was selling me on Baja D's competition was difficult to decide. Has been some time but your vid solidified my decision, thank you!
This video is so well put together! Thank you gents. Out here in AZ, you’ve changed my mind about lighting and I’m picking up some Baja Ambers right now!
@@ChupacabraOffroad absolutely worth it! I ended up getting the S8 amber for the shock tower and squadron pros for the TMW bumper and when running in the dust, I kill the 50” light bar and only run the pods and shock tower and man it cuts through the dust so nicely. Out at the dunes I ran everything and it ridiculously bright.
I would love to get some of these light bars like the 40 inch onyx6 but the price is expensive, not saying it’s not worth it because if I had the money I would definitely get it baja designs but it’s gonna take a little before something this nice is obtainable. However I always come back to this video to see the lighting it always just what I need for glamis or trail rides
Great video on Baja Designs lights. My buddy has their street legal kit on his YZF450 and it is super high quality. For just having that 4 pod headlight its crazy bright. I noticed Andrew is running that Trinity exhaust on his Razor. How about a review of that?
Hell yea they are I'm running 5 sets (2 sets of s2 sports ditch and rears, squadron pro front, s2 pro front, squadron sport amber wide cornering fogs) I also have 2 RC 20 inch light bars (single row black series) for task lights for side light and they are nothing compared to the Baja designs. All this is running off a MLC-6
Awesome Video Nick! I have Rough Country slim light bar on my RZR. $400 looks good. But we all know BD is the best lights you can get. I might pick up some pods in the near future.
nice info, hard to find any input on amber lights. can am only has 52 amps. I have xl 80 on pillar, and 2 sets of squad pro on upper cage, wide and combo. Should put those to amber. I lead mostly though.
I just purchased the RTL-S to get the blinkers (also here in AZ), did you need two harnesses to have the illuminated amber lights along with the turn signals?
The tail lights head into the rear stock taillight harness, which the Ambers (which flash) and the work light (white) all head to the front, wired into a SwitchPros. So I have 3 switches (left Amber/ Turn, Right Amber/ Turn, Work. I hope this answers your question.
Hello from Mich. I have a 2018 JL Jeep Wrangler. What Baja A Pillar light set up would You recommend for street driving and a little bit of trails driving? Thank You.
The Squadron Pro is 4,900 lumens each, small in size, and a driving combo would probably work great. You can change the lenses or add amber covers if you are in dust.
Fair, we will update the description, but hopefully we added value showing the different types of lights and arrangements, and that you should seriously consider the Ambers.
Full Throttle Off Road did a video comparing BD and Amazon light bar and they were pretty damn comparable. th-cam.com/video/tIeTQ2rAuf8/w-d-xo.html The Amazon one is obviously cheaper and less durable LEDs will break sooner, but I can buy about 10 Amazon light bars for the price of 1 BD light bar. Shoot you could buy a new light bar every year!
True, I get the mindset, of comparing lumens to dollars ratio, but you should also consider resale value, reliability, customer service, and Baja Designs care rebuildable with different colored lenses, and made in the USA. I've ran a $70 Amazon light bar, Rigid lights, and Vision X. It all depends on what you see value in, or how you want to spend your money. Some guys wont upgrade their suspension, when I think it's the best money you can spend. Different strokes. In this video, I tried to inform viewers of where to mount lights, and how good Ambers are in the dust, just things to consider, as I know a huge part of the market will never spend top dollar for Baja D, but also, Rigid and Baja D are leaders, and their technology has all been knocked off, but there's a high end market that will spend on them.
It's really not. It's for people that don't know any better or ballers that wanna flex and heads that want everything name brand but really is it name brand ? Na.... Just another company that catered to a certain group of racers and rich heads and they passed it around as bad ass shit. And it went on from there. There are some amazing and eBay lights that kill these fuckin things off... And believe me I was given a light bar and tested it against my Amazon 10 watt cree bulbs and believe me these lights couldn't even compare output wise to the Chinese knocks. Once again or are they ? So that's my take. An I feel IAM correct.
I appreciate your opinion and this is a polarizing topic, I've run a $60 Amazon light bar, for the money, it cant be beat. But these lights are significantly better, as they should be for the price. "rich" and "flex" just sounds a little salty, there are high end prodcuts in every market, and if you look at the technology behind the brand, it's cutting edge. The Chinese have stole a lot of the technology from Baja D and Rigid, so if you love your Chinese light bars, you owe some of that to these companies. So many options these days, on how you spend money on your upgrades.
Bajas are the most overpriced products on the market. The fact is, cheaper stuff is just as bright and who cares about copper etc? I just want to see where I’m going! Obviously, this entire video is a payed ad, so we can’t really expect an honest review from you but some balance is really required here.

Well worth the money, great output with a small amp draw , only aftermarket lighting Ill buy

Great product and great resale value as well, congrats...
