Having been in that flood and 2017 and rescued both times, I say thank you !!!. The next realistic rescue is via prevention of further damage by resuming the dredging of the tweed River River bed. It makes sense to deepen the water carrier so it holds more and less over flows to the surrounding land.. and For the sceptics and so called experts who say it won't make much difference, we'll sorry to rain ( excuse the pun) on your parade however even 30 cm makes a difference in water height between going in a house and not going in a house.and for commonsense, it's much cheaper in clean ups. 🧘♀️🤷🙏
I don't know anybody who lost a pet on my street. Farm animals, like cows did were unfortunately found around the place, drowned. And the fish population has decreased a lot after the flood.
Next disaster (which will happen), please don't add dramatic music. Goes for all uploaders. I used to like the rain. But now when there is a heavy downpour, I can't relax until it stops. Respect to SES.
