I left Pakistan in 2019 to start PhD in a US school. The reasons to leave Pakistan were lack of research environment in my employer university, work place harassment for women, salary issues and lack of professional growth opportunities.
Good decision
I am a MPhil pathology student. Even there is an acute shortage of pathologist in Pakistan but job opportunities are almost none. Pay in Hospitals are not sufficient. Personally I know 7 friends of mine who have already left Pakistan and know 20 friends of mine who are trying their best to leave Pakistan for better opportunities. I cleared NTS exam with more than 78% marks I was among the top scorer but when it comes to interview you need a political influence so I went to a political influential person with all my documents he said to me that you have impressive background you should go abroad as all these seats are already sold out. My heart broke that day. I lost hope for Pakistan that day. I felt that day that all the hard work all efforts that I put while studying was a waste. I really appreciate your work. Keep it up. I.A I WILL LEAVE PAKISTAN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WITH MY FRIENDS.

My reason of leaving my Pakistan, I've made a comparison, please read. I'm 27, and have MS in Mechanical Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute. I searched for teaching jobs as a lecturer. The salary is average 70K for this position. In this much of money, how one can keep a family, when they have to pay house rent, and other daily and monthly expenses. On the other side, my fellow who parted his way in FSc which is a basic degree and joined army is now earning lacs, have a car, can keep family, can educate his children in good schools and other health facilities. I realized this country is not for civilians it's for army. I'm currently a PhD student in South Korea and my monthly stipend is four lacs. I'll soon get married and bring my family along with me here in Seoul.

when your friend joined army then he might have opted from a long course, which means he is no longer just a FSc degree holder and have at least done BSc in some field on top of physical training so its pretty normal for him to earn in lacs. (which I also doubt unless he is above 18th scale)
Teaching does pay less in Pakistan but its also a very easy job, but still I would say no job in Pakistan is worth doing be it Army, Teaching or just an employee of a private business.
I always resisted the urge to go abroad because I wanted to serve this country. However, this has demaged me a lot. I'm finacially screwed, living my life from pay check to pay check, and still living a very lowkey life. Just for the record: I was the top position holder since my school times. Since this PDM has message up things, I have finally decided to move out of this country.

Im one of the 8 lakh people. Reason being corrupt government, military, inflation. Pakistan was on the right track with a ton of economic activity and controlled inflation under Imran Khan and his team. Since the regime change, all hope got lost, so many injustices against Imran Khan. I wanted to stay in Pakistan, because of my parents and family, our childhood house, lovely joint family, meeting up with relatives and helping out elders. We used to get good increments as a salaried individual. I used to think that i will be somewhere settled with a good income in the next 5 years. But I felt wrong when my increments were 20-30% and inflation/dollar pricing rose by 40+%. It felt like a hole in the ship of your liquid savings. Hats of to Imran Khan for still fighting for Pakistan, may Allah give him victory

It's true , insecurity and injustice has increased a lot that's why I had to go Australia on study visa, right now I'm 18 years old and never wanted to leave my city and country but after giving exams in sindh board I felt like there is a lot of injustice and corruption and after graduation you really don't have job opportunities but it's also true life in Australia is hard but future is secure and you are paying a lot of tax and in return you are getting facilities . however, in Pakistan you are paying a lot of tax in return you are not getting anything only frustration and you can't speak up in society against them because these dynasties so called leaders will have you arrested or abducted it's fell like you don't have a piece in mind that's why I left my country for a better. I hope Pakistan do better in future and also people has to change we should not follow someone blindly because in sindh people follow PPP blindly even though they haven't done nothing for the betterment of sindh .

To sum up the biggest reason for leaving the country is social injustices. One with power or money can supersede any law or regulation.

but as a middle-class student it's really hard to leave Pakistan and settle abroad... mostly elite class peoples are leaving
Wrong....the highest number from that 8+ lac figure is labor class...mazdoor, electrician, plumber, truck driver, taxi drivers, barbers, etc. Educated people find it hard because their skillset and exposure are limited and many are unemployable in the West. The elite class can simply buy a foreign passport for their travels but mostly they stay because Pakistan is where they earn the money.

ہر کوہی رافدی قادیانی یا امریکی کتوں جیسا حرام کھانے والا نہی ھوتا ۔
پاکستان کے لاکھوں لوگ کو اپنے گھر والوں کی روٹی اور جان کے لیے بھی وطن ترک کرنا پڑا۔

I have been living in Canada for the past 25 years and never before have I seen so much desperateness in my family in Pak to leave for good. Many have turned to Middle East and Australia and I know all of my younger cousins want to leave for good. Thanks to the "nizaam" we have there eventually every family will have kids outside the country sending remittance and thats not how countries flourish. 😢 We need change NOW!
We must thank Army and PDM for making this possible, things are only going to get worse over the next 1 year until the country falls apart - all thanks to Army and PDM.

All that youth who don't wanna leave Pakistan are still in their final years. They yet to come into practical life so they don't know the ground realities to the extent professionals does. Moment they start their professional life they bound to think about leaving this country.

پاکستان میں پہلے تو معیاری تعلیم ہے نہیں کیونکہ تعلیمی نصاب وہ لوگ کرتے ہیں جوکہ کوالیفائیڈ ہی نہیں ہوتے انکی تعلیم تک آؤٹ ڈیڈٹ ہو چکی ہوتی ہے اور انہیں بدلتے حالات اور ضروریات کا ضیحیح طریقے سے پتہ نہیں ہوتا۔ تعلیم کی راہ میں طرح طرح کے روڑے اٹکاۓ جاتے ہیں اور یہ سب سرکاری اداروں کی طرف سے ہوتا ہے جو کہ نہیں ہونا چاہیۓ۔ تعلیم کے شعبے میں بہت زیادہ اصطلاحات کی ضرورت ہے مثلاً تعلیمی بورڈز کی کیا ضرورت ہے؟ امریکہ میں وہی تعلیمی ادارہ سارے امتحانات لیتا ہے جہاں طالب علم پڑھتا ہے اور انکی ترقی بھی دیکھ لیں۔ تعلیمی بورڈز کو طلباء اور والدین پر ایک اضافی بوچھ بنایا گیا ہے ایک تو وقت بہت ضائع ہو جاتا ہے اور دوسرا پہلے سے مشکل حالات میں مزید پیسہ بھی خرچ کرو۔ ملک بھر سے تمام تعلیم بورڈز کو ختم کیا جاۓ تانکہ طلباء وقت اور پیسہ بچا کر تعلیم حاصل کر سکیں۔
As a Software exporter, it was getting increasingly difficult for me to manage currency fluctuations and keep my savings. I had to convert my hard earned money into dollars from the open market which resulted in a loss of around 5% of my income. On top of that I was facing mental stress of getting killed by robbers and robberies outside my house were captured on CCTV on regular basis.
Now in Canada, I feel safe and secure. Although the government taxes a lot here but gives a safe and secure environment for me and my family and their future seems very safe.
