I get most of the overlays and stuff off Pinterest, either grandparents ones or ones with a black bg. To get rid of the black bg make the layer type “screen”
Do you mean the white bg of the canvas? If you want to make it transparent open up the layers and at the bottom there’s squares, one square has the white bg, the other has a light transparent bg, and the third has a dark transparent bg. Hope that answered your question
There’s a website called photopea where you can apply psds, to get psds you get them off deviant art. (If your on iOS, you need to save the psd to files)

Ty and how I get sprites, I look up “(insert character) transparent png” on google, you can also use Pinterest
It's called Render, like if my anime character's name is Naruto then I would search Naruto Renders to get the entire body without background.👀

They’re in IbisPaint, so at the top there’s a picture icon, click it and go down to frame (color), they’re called circle frame #
