For a while, I thought he had a moderately deep voice, but no, Fred Jones really is his natural speaking voice. All the more impressive that he can play that vocal limbo when doing his Dr. Claw voice.

I know the first episode ("Ghosts R Us") had an especially disturbing scene for a cartoon. It's the final fight with the ghost. (He's put together several toys and possessed them.) And when the Ghostbusters blasted the monkey, a huge hideous head sprung up. Also, the time when Peter got possessed in "Mrs. Roger's Neighborhood" was a bit unsettling.

Caves of wonders voice was borrowed from the Real Ghostbusters episode "Knock Knock" when the Ghostbusters journeys into the "valley of lost souls", when the tree tells them where they are. The voice was also from the Sandman episode, when he played the Sandman himself
Most people don't realize Frank Welker also did Trailbreaker, Frenzy, Ravage, Buzzsaw/Laserbeak, Ratbat, Rumble, Skywarp and Mirage in the G1 Transformers cartoon series.
He has voiced him almost exclusively as he was the original voice as well as the current voice of Fred excluding, "A Pup Named Scooby Doo", the live action movies and maybe a few others. He is also currently the voice of Scooby since 2002, but not the live action movies.
I kind of wish I could hear Frank saying "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here" in the Cave's voice. ...Or just read an audiobook and use the Barry impression for a character. His audiobooks would be perfect, and they'd give you Megatron vibes for _days._

He has voiced him almost exclusively as he was the original voice as well as the current voice of Fred excluding, "A Pup Named Scooby Doo", the live action movies and maybe a few others. He is also currently the voice of Scooby since 2002, but not the live action movies.

I kind of wish I could hear Frank saying "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here" in the Cave's voice. ...Or just read an audiobook and use the Barry impression for a character. His audiobooks would be perfect, and they'd give you Megatron vibes for _days._
After looking This up and seeing frank do his work with a big smile on his face it was well worth the search me and my baby niece are watching inspector gadget and she loved it 😂
