You can reverse osteoporosis, my wife did it. She quit alcohol, refined sugar and all processed food including bread, cookies, cakes etc. she did resistance training 3x a week and daily walking. Within one year she did a deca scan and her doctor was amazed at her T score.

I got diagnosed with osteopenia when I was 20 in January 2020, my worse score was -2.4, but 3 years later in 2023 when I was 23, I had my bone scan again and my results improved by 0.3 and my best score was -1.8. Working out more consistently definitely has been the thing that’s helped me and makes my body ache less. I hope in 2026 when I next get my bone scan my results improve again🙏

100% yes! Jumping rope can help. So can fasting and then weight lifting afterwards. Megan Ramos of The Fasting Method had osteopenia, and she’d fast for three days at a time, which increases growth hormone incredibly. Then on the third day she’d lift heavy before she ate. She reversed her osteopenia and built a lot of muscle. Vitamins D3 and K2 can also help, as can eating a meat-heavy diet with few carbs, especially sugar, processed food, and vegetable/seed oils.

    Procrastination: untangle the conflicting emotions.
What is the difference between creating bone density and strengthening bones?
She said bone density increase is usually up into twenties, not in later age. I keep in mind that genetic differences matter. If you have immediate relatives who aged less at slower rates, maybe some people can into their 30s. Rare, I don't know. But IRL, I know people with different biological clocks.

I was just diagnosed yesterday with osteoporosis with a t score of -2.6. I’m about to turn 60 in a couple months. I’m having a little back pain but I fell last June and got a compression fracture from the fall. This whole thing is just a lot to take in because I feel fine most days.
I dealt with joint pain every day until I went to the hospital in dec 2021 with covid. When I got home I was so weak. My husband is into fitness so he worked with me and got me strong. It was painful but eventually I got better and doing light workouts and weight lifting, my joints stopped hurting. A few months later I saw a rheumatologist and was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis with are auto immune so I changed my diet and that has helped.
It’s hard to find the balance. People say eat more meat but I have high cholesterol so I can’t eat more meat.
I guess what I’m saying is, don’t think your hip pain is from osteoporosis, it could be arthritis. Ben gay works great on joint pain as most of the irritation comes from the inflammation.
All my inflammation went away when I eliminated salt and switched to low sodium foods.

Question! If you have had blood clot and been told to avoid vitamin k ! Do you still eat collard greens : ect.! Just in moderation; right ?

    • @phen-themoogle7651
      @phen-themoogle7651 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Here are a few suggestions if you need to avoid vitamin K due to a blood clotting issue:
Collard greens and other leafy greens like kale, spinach, and broccoli are high in vitamin K and are best avoided or eaten only in very small amounts. Stick to 1/2 cup or less per day.
Focus on getting greens that are lower in vitamin K like romaine lettuce, cucumbers, green beans, asparagus, cabbage, celery, zucchini. These can be eaten in moderate amounts.
Other vegetables like carrots, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, eggplant are very low in vitamin K and can be eaten freely.
Fruits are all very low in vitamin K and make a good substitute for high vitamin K greens.
Be careful with oils like canola oil, soybean oil, olive oil as they contain vitamin K. Limit to 1-2 tsp per day.
Herbs like parsley, basil, dill are high in vitamin K so use sparingly as garnish.
Look for low-vitamin K recipes and modify dishes to reduce greens and oils. Focus on low vitamin K foods.
Discuss with your doctor about getting your vitamin K intake and blood clotting levels tested regularly. This can help determine safe intake levels for you.
The key is to avoid sudden large increases in vitamin K intake rather than eliminating it completely. Work with your healthcare provider to determine the right approach for your specific health situation.

I am sorry to hear that. My doctor just postponed my Prolia shot because of jaw pain. I am on Anastrozole - that is the BC therapy that destroys bone mineral but decreases the chance BC will return. The Prolia helps build the bone back, but can also cause jaw necrosis. I get a bone density scan in August, but in the meantime the Anastrolzole is melting my bones. I am sick about this. I don’t dare stop the Anastrolzole for fear of BC returning and I am scared the Prolia will cause jaw necrosis. I already have Osteopenia, but the doctor said it is very mild. I am sorry you are doing everything right and still got that crappy result.
