Artist Ron Lawson at the Strathearn Gallery

A film looking at artist Ron Lawson, one of Scotland's most iconic and renowned contemporary painters working today. Ron has built up a phenomenal following for his unique and immediately recognisable work, depicting the Scottish Hebrides, with sell-out exhibitions and a worldwide client base of collectors.

I just adore the atmosphere created by Ron's watercolours. My dear late sister, (Laurie Forrester), exhibited along side him at Strathearn some years ago. Most of her work was in Acrylic but her watercolours were also very moving. I wish I'd snatched up some of the ones she put in the bin, (because she wasn't satisfied)!
I am so happy to see that our cousin Rowena (Forrester) Laing is currently in this exhibition and her works put a smile on my face each time I see one of her abstract scenes, with or without sheep!
I have promised myself to explore more of the Hebrides but I will only carry a camera, as opposed to a sketch pad or easel, alas.
