My new stihl 250 chainsaw has had the bar oil cap replaced 3 times and the dealer put a dye in the oil to see where it leaks. So the last time I asked how come there is oil coming out where the oil comes out for the bar and she pretty much said take it home. So I did and then I drained it out so it doesn't try an leak everywhere. So I guess after I run it I will have to drain it each time. I've always used stihl products and this one here i wished I had bought something else.
thats sure was stupid weld the screw bolts inside close to feul tank too yike surprise didnt started fire when welding inside that that wouldve suck lol

great video i rebuilt 4 of those 041 saws there good saws had one that had a 38 inch bar on it there good saws for big jobs

May be time to find another saw in better shape. Need a die grinder to remove welds.

My husqvarna does the same thing unfortunately. 455 rancher. I was warned at the dealership though that it was a known issue.
Use a dremal tool with a cut off tool
