@No Half Measures Point is he holds them accountable. Having an excessive or erotic interest in oneself and one's physical appearance is the definition of narcissistic. And that’s not how he acts. He’s a public service figure and pretty good one at that. And on that note he doesn’t speak to the viewers as a child he’s talking about the criminals. And that’s what they are 97% of the time because i’m pretty sure every person and crime that was said in this video has been prosecuted already. But ayy you do you✌🏽

I remember thinking Joe Arpaio was "the man" before I realized how Policing and the DOC worked.
We were all weaned on a steady diet of "Cops" and Crime Shows that supplanted a narrative as to who the good guys and bad guys were. I went through my life stereotyping, assuming and villainizing whole groups of people as result. Sadly due to profiling and racism, only certain demographics could be the bad guys...cuz those were the only ones they were looking for and checking.
I'm not saying that police and safety officers aren't necessary, merely that the gloating and dehumanizing humor is unnecessary and keeps certain myths alive. It appears Polk county is off the chain so they must be putting law before service in all they do. Established on a toxic footing where perhaps one cannot avoid growing up criminal or mad.

I know there are a LOT of people who love his style, which his re-election track record shows. In fact, the only people I've ever known to complain about him were one's who've been arrested by him/his office. I moved to Polk Co. from a town with a population of about 150,000, which is probably about a third of the size of Polk County's main city (Lakeland). Let me tell you, the crime in Polk County, compared to the small town I came from is night and day. I know what it's like to live in a place that has daily shootings, murders, muggings, open drug deals, break-ins, and acts of arson, and the sheriff has no solutions and won't even admit there is a problem. IMO, this sheriff is doing something right. He might be zany, he might have an ego, and there's no doubt he loves the spotlight, but he's doing his job and keeping the community informed and our spirits up in the meantime. We appreciate him and he will continue to be Polk County's sheriff until he retires. Thank you, Grady Judd!

I also volunteer at the Minneapolis airport and everyday some person is handing me a lost phone, purse or wallet. Meanwhile while I live in FL and I almost died when the ER sent me home with a 103* fever and told me to see my doctor in 2 week while my leg have a massive infection. I went to anotjer ER and spent 6 week in the hospital and needed 4 surgeries. Then when my car was stolen the cop arrested me because he did not believe cars could be stolen unless you had the key. I guess he never heard of a car being hot wired. Then I had some sicko neighbor that stalked me everywhere and wrote letter whining about a weed in my yard. Even the HOA told him they were not taking his complaint anymore because he was crazy. Yep FL is a great place. The traffic is terrible. Crime is 3 time worse then MN also. As a person out of state when I first moved to MN those MN property taxes where cheaper then in state property taxes for my home in FL. I will not even talk about the home owner insurance cost. What do you get to do in FL? Sweat! So glad I moved out of that dump. It is fimd to visit for a few weeks but it is not a good state.

That's funny, he holds the evidence up. There it is right there, you answered your own question." Evidence" held in his hand. Hardcore proof not speculation. It's not what you know in court it's what you can prove." Evidence".... He is not out there chasing innocent people. You have to be screwing up to get on his radar. Everyone knows you don't screw off in Grady's county. He is not a secret. So if you are a child molester, a murderer, a kidnapper, a burglar, a drug dealer, gang member just to mention a few. You have the right to decide if you want to do that crap Mr Grady's county. You have that freedom of choice. But don't be a crybaby when the cat catches the mouse. That's part of cat and mouse. Real question should be when you're getting ready to break the law, should say to yourself. I'm in Mr Grady's county. What crime am I getting ready to commit? What kind of sentence does that carry? Do I really want to at the fool around here? Can I do the time for the crime that I'm about to pull? Ask yourself those questions. Then decide you're free. Balls in your court? But don't cry about the nature of game you're playing when you get caught. I'm glad to see the man still has jokes and is able to be lighthearted and able to smile. I'll tell you right now that job that he does can turn your heart cold. You see him on the press conference on monitor. He's on there talking about the bad s***. He's not running down everybody that deals with the police department. He is not on there talking about so and so got a speeding ticket or this person didn't pay child support this week. Or this person was pulled over driving on suspended. He's on there for the people that are causing his community harm. He is not on there talking about so and so stole a candy bar from Walmart.. y'all need to realize who he is after. You don't hire a little Sunday school boy to get the devil. That's why all these other states above us New York California Chicago. Crime is outrageous murder is outrageous and their states are going to hell. That's why they're all moving here. Y'all need to wake up.. we are not defunding police in the state of Florida. You don't just get to running stores 40 50 60 people and Rob it. You don't get to burn our buildings down. And you don't get to slap the hardcore criminals on the wrist and turn their asses back out. Don't get to shoot at our cops or residence.Don't get to hurt people, then expect people to listen to you about how rough the cops were. You shoot at our cops of Florida. Do you really want to put your mama through that, identifying you with 80 bullet holes in you... If your answer is yes then the world is better off without you. So it's pretty simple and you have the choice. Don't do the crime unless you can do the time. I can tell you this as a Florida cracker, if I need to get a little dark or maybe up to no good. That's the first thing I think of, what county is this where am I at.for me asking myself that question. The answer to that question has prevented me from getting stupid a few times. What counts is the murderer's rights. We damn sure don't want to be too hard on him. That's why we have Bruce to cheer for. So he can let your mom's murderer out on a technicality. Let's go Bruce. When you live in a county with a obviously corrupt or dirty sheriff (Lee County, FL here), you live in constant fear. I’m terrified of Law Enforcement here. I had my purse stolen and was threatened by law enforcement that they would arrest me unless I changed my written statement to exactly the wording they dictated to me. Great cops!

Grady is entertaining, but unprofessional as hell. He is tailor made for YT and social media but probably does more to hurt cases than help them. As Bruce points out-- any defense attorney is going to use those press conferences as cause to move a trial for tainting a jury.
Grady doesn't provide information, he provides commentary. He isn't a policeman he is a pundit. His assumption of guilt shows that he is in fact, terrible at his job. Literally the antithesis of how our criminal justice system is supposed to work. It's entertaining when it's on tv, but in the real world it's nothing short of an insult to justice.
You know what you never see is these 'name and shame' pundits putting in that same level of energy to clear peoples' names when they are found not guilty. They don't take the responsibility to undo harm that they cause because it wouldn't get the views.

After a few years, I began seeing things a little clearer. I saw the militarization beginning and the entire culture shift. I became so disillusioned and disappointed. Grady Judd is a symptom of the many problems in law enforcement. The lack of accountability in American law enforcement is disgusting.

I'm actually surprised defendants' due process hasn't come up. I am aware of one of his cases in a somewhat personal way. I was not involved in a defendant's defense, but I worked with someone who was. The way this sheriff (and his deputies) twists the evidence is like nothing I've ever witnessed. First, no one in his department wears body-cams, and that says a mouthful. I watched him tell flat-out lies about the LA County PD in one of these videos. Much of the "evidence" he provided in the video of this case was HIGHLY exaggerated. Our country was based upon and continues to run properly because of a system of laws. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty but not in Polk County. If he wants to demean defendants, he should wait until they're proven guilty. The defendant my colleague was defending ended up having his case dismissed for lack of evidence. He was sincerely in the wrong place at the wrong time, but some of his family members think he's a drug lord and deals with sex trafficking. He is NEITHER of those.
