Found your channel through your Shadow of the Conqueror review literally last week and have binged most of your channel already...keep up the good work!
Congratulations on 3 years! I'm a long time viewer/subscriber but I don't usually comment. The stream was really fun to lurk in. Thanks for all the funny and thoughtful videos. Looking forward to the next! :)
I’ve watched your channel for about a year now. Found you through your Iron Widow video, because i wanted to find at least one review that agreed with me, so i knew i wasn’t crazy. Watching that video actually really helped me hold to my opinions more and now i thrust them upon everyone i see. So, thank you!😅 Congratulations on the three year anniversary🎉🥳🎊
Earlier today, I recommended ya'll's podcast in a comment on another bookish channel I enjoy. I honestly don't remember what the first video of yours I saw was, but I've been here a while. As an aspiring writer, I love that I feel like I genuinely learn from your critiques. Keep 'em coming, please 👏
I’m not very active on comments and usually listen on Spotify but I’ve been here since Savior’s Champion. Y’all are my favorite podcast and I spend most of my work days listening to old episodes for comfort/background noise. Congrats on 3 years!
I would LOVE any Ursula K Le Guin books on the channel, I would die to hear Maria's thoughts on any story. I love Ursula's writing so much, theres not enough videos talking about her stories in the way you guys do 💖 I hope for many mmore years of UTT !
I found you guys after I read Iron Widow and kinda hated it. Most other reviews seemed to ignore most of the flaws and didn't critique the "modern POV" aspect of the book. I've watched most of your backlog now, starting with stuff I had previously read then moved on to stuff I will never read. I can't recommend it enough to other readers. I appreciate Maria's cutting wisdom and Katie's lived insights as much as William's sad boi snark. William, I think you should make them read some Military Sci-Fi. Since YA has burned you out a bit. Similar probability of roasts with the added benefit of some really good stuff hidden in there. You could do classics like Starship Troops or the Forever War that have a variety of political themes. You could even go for some Bush era schlock like March Up Country. I think it would be interesting to hear Katie and Maria's critiques of that kinda stuff. Anyway, keep of the great work! Cheers from Alaska!
Happy anniversary!! I found you guys when you dropped the Nona the Ninth video and it's been nothing but a joy since. Even in the few times where I disagreed with a point or assessment, your love for the artistry and craft still really do come through so strongly that it never makes me feel defensive or like you're just hating. ^_^
Congratulations on 3 years! I've been listening to the podcast for about a year. I found your ACOTAR roast in suggestions for caricanread's ACOTAR plot recap and I love YT algorithms for that! I hadn't even realised how I missed this kind of in-depth conversations about books. I believe you taught me a lot about critical reading and gave a lot of fun.
I found your channel because I've been following SwellEntertainment for years and the crossover episode where she appeared made me love this channel. So here I am!
Absolutely LOVE your podcast and channel, finally a booktube space that does proper objective critique. If you ever want to do a collab, then let me know :)
I found this channel as it came recommended by a friend last year, and I loved the video critiques and the rewrites of the Savior's series along with the Cyborg Tinkerer, simply outstanding! I also enjoyed your insights on Mistborn, along with the roasts of A Million To One, and Children of Blood and Bone. Spot on observations, and I love the many wonderfully interesting debates that happen between you guys
I think I’ve been following your channel for about a year now, but mostly silently as I often do with anyone I’m subscribed to. I’m pretty sure I found your channel through suggested videos, and it was your ACOTAR review that brought me in. I do love how critical, but I think still fair, y’all are with your reviews. I especially enjoy your thoughts on how a book can be improved, which in turn makes me feel smarter haha. Your ending messages were really sweet. Thank you for wanting to continue to share the love you have for books, with some roasting tossed in there haha.
I found the channel through a random TH-cam short which I don’t typically watch so kinda funny. I was curious when it was so I scrolled back through my watch history and it was almost exactly a year ago. Love the channel congrats on three years :)
Saviours Champion brought me here too!!!! I can’t believe it has been three years but it has flown by watching! Even over on the other side of the Atlantic so the hours don’t exactly sync 😂
Your channel is the only one where I break my rule of, “I won’t read a new book if it’s endorsed by booktube.” I started reading the Temeraire books because of your guys’ video, and I finally started The Locked Tomb series this week! I just finished Gideon the Ninth and can’t wait to finish Harrow to watch your video! I loved the section where you got to have fun and look back at videos you loved to roast. It’s always great as an artist to look back at fun things and successes. I love your Six of Crows video and so want you to do the sequel. As a fan of the books, I still found structure and plot oddities that for some reason no one else pointed out but you all. Also, I feel like you’ll either like Crooked Kingdom way more or hate it way more and I want your thoughts. But also, I think you’ve done so many LB books so feel free to move on 😄 hopefully this year you’ll be able to grow the “Books We Love” List!
3 years?? I've been here since Harrow The Ninth, don't usually comment but I've really enjoyed being along for the ride! I love your criticism, and especially how you guys still make it feel like a fun, on-the-spot discussion. Shame I missed the livestream because of my timezone, but I'm going to enjoy watching it back and hearing all your ideas. :) Just one quick question (you may have answered this already sorry) do you plan on ever reviewing short stories as well as novels? I'm primarily a short story reader these days and I've read a couple of anthologies and stories I'd love to hear your opinions on. I understand if it doesn't work as well for the algorithm though, and I'm sure to keep enjoying your work whatever you choose to do.
Happy 3 years! I cant remember how I discovered you guys, but I think it was around the Ice Planet Barbarians vid with Amanda bc I remember being surprised at the sudden crossover lol. Here's to (hopefully) finding more good books in the future!
Sad that i missed this, but happy 3 year anniversary! 🎉 I think ?? I found you guys through lightlark and then binged everything that came before it Because of you I started the Temeraire series (and i am slow 😅 so i will watch the sequel video one day i promise!) so you have my undying gratitude for that
I'm gonna use the fact that im second here to congratulate you on 3 years and, as a gift, recommend you (and everybody else) to read "The Lions of Al-Rassan" by Guy Gavriel Kay, I think all three of you would enjoy it very much. Thanks for all the content.
Congratulations on three years! Been watching since Saviors Champion. Some thoughts on names for your viewers that play off the Text part of the channel name: Something kind of boring: Texters Playing off the Swiftie name: Texties Or, if you’re hoping to get demonetized more, you can call your viewers your texticles Also, Katie about to make a person cry at the end.
Think we found you from the shadow of the conqueror review, had watched a few others and yeah, you all kept us around after checking out a few other videos. Think what solidified it was the temeraire reviews cos we loved those books and it was great to hear 0raise and well thought out criticism of them actually.
I think I found yall from the saviors champion or iron widow bc I remember watching a few Jenna and xiran’s videos and wondering if their books were good or not then the review popped up and I watched it, hooked ever since ❤ I fall asleep, write and clean to your old videos if I don’t know what else to watch and need some parasocial company
This video solidified the fact that Will has the superior taste in tropes - I also adore hot bitchy female characters, and rich girl/poor boy is the best romantic pairing! 😂
i found you guys from the kushiel's dart videos because kyle HATED that book when he first read it but admitted it might have been a hatred born from the circumstances he read it under more than anything so i scoured the internet for hot takes
I think women writing men coukd be a fun topic to discuss. With romatasy and romace reaching rhe popularity that it did, it has become a more prominent topic. There are already parody tictocs making fun of women writing men. (Righfully so)
Putting Muderbot in an F-M-K is frankly insulting. His whole deal is not wanting to deal with people or having to kill them. Tell me you don't give a $#!÷ about the whole series, without telling me you don't give $#!÷.
@@unresolvedtextualtension I'll most likely come back to it eventually, but the neurotypical nonsense isn't something I can spare the energy to deal with atm. "Kill" the asexual is probably the most upsetting take I've seen on this channel, and yet it's painfully common in society at large. I'm sick of listening to society as a whole dismiss the humanity of people they've decided "don't count". Which is, you know, kinda part of the point of Murderbot.
Found your channel through your Shadow of the Conqueror review literally last week and have binged most of your channel already...keep up the good work!
The one good thing saviours champion has done is it helped me find your channel. I'm so happy I found this podcast .
I also found it through the Savior's Champion video
Your messages at the end are so sweet - especially Katie's ❤ Thank you to all of you for existing and coming together to create this channel!
I've been here since almost the beginning, meme'ing so hard from the get go. 😂 Congratulations on 3 years, you guys are great 👍
You're an OG.

Congrats on three years! I hope to enjoy the podcast for many more.
I started at Savior's Champion and have been a fan since! Been great to see you grow!
Congratulations for three incredible years . Tth stream started while I was in the middle of my date so I missed it😢. Maybe next time .

I'm too shy to comment often so I lurk in comments and in the discord lol but congrats on three years! Y'all get me through the work day.

I am late to this video but I found you guys after the Poet Hyperion video!
3 years WOOP WOOP!!!! 🎉
I’m an OG fan.. been here for a while. I’ve been watching since the Savior’s Champion days 😭😭😭
It’s been a time 😅
I think I've been watching your channel for a little more than a year.
The FMK at the beginning was so funny
Your rating of Mistborn warms my heart. I don't get what the love for this book is about.
Maria I would LOVE it if we read ANY Le Guin
I think it's been 2 years now! I'm with Katie re: Floralinda and I thought Sunbringer was alright.
It’s tough to say but probably been watching 3 years now?? Regardless I love you guys!
Edit: Okay maybe it FEELS like 3 years
This video solidified the fact that Will has the superior taste in tropes - I also adore hot bitchy female characters, and rich girl/poor boy is the best romantic pairing! 😂
love y'all!
The actor who plays Wylan is 28. He just looks like that.
Did y’all coordinate the red yellow blue outfits?
I found this channel bc of Fourth Wing rant hahaha one year ago
Why is luke warm above burnt?
3 days and wanted more
i found you guys from the kushiel's dart videos because kyle HATED that book when he first read it but admitted it might have been a hatred born from the circumstances he read it under more than anything so i scoured the internet for hot takes
