i have to agree, adding or even showing phones like x200 & rog 9 while leaving out all other already released ones. for the size his channel is was rly dissappointing. here we get at least mentions about those & some also win.
I have to agree too, it has a splendid camera and the os is fairly great. In term of design it is just a beast altrough it has some weak points it would have deserved a mention. Ad well I wont even mention the sanctions from us that caused the only trouble that I cant use Twint since I used to get native google via a 2019 backup apk to avoid sanctions, put my accounts and back in 2024. And I not get any problem using full screen on youtube and any other app and game. The upscaling of games is insane, litterally playing on an almost 4 k screen with huge graphics.
Agree with everything on your Top 5 except for Vivo and Honor. After owning and daily driving both phones the Honor Magic V3 is just simply better for day to day use after you ad in Stylus Pen support which Vivo does not have currently on any smartphone.
@@RavenMc. I sold my magic v3 and I bought the Vivo X fold 3 pro and I don't miss almost anything from v3 , Vivo is faster , much better cameras and battery is a lot better... The only thing I miss is 9.2mm but the rest is more important for me photos , battery and speed. But v3 is a great phone the problem is the battery and camera are very bad in my opinion. Let's see v4 next year if camera and battery improves I'll buy it for sure 👌
This year has been fantastic for phones, especially for Chinese brands! Personally, I’m not a big fan of foldable phones, mainly because of concerns about their longevity and reliability. However, they are definitely improving in terms of practicality and software. Most of the opinions you shared align closely with mine. I really enjoy OriginOS from Vivo (China), and I have to say the cameras on both Oppo and Vivo are among the best I’ve ever seen. That said, I also prefer Vivo in the camera department, and through out my research, here’s a detailed summary on why (Comparing it with X100U not X200P): Selfie: Vivo X100 Ultra because I like warm and saturated selfies. Also, you can switch directly from the selfie camera to the rear cameras. On the other hand, the Oppo looks very white/pale, even though it's supposed to look natural (but I don't think so). It does have a wide view though and I think it offers more zoom (but I'm not sure about that). Main on default presets: I think the Oppo is better because of the natural colors, but unfortunately the pictures are often overexposed. On the Vivo everything looks oversaturated and very blueish, but has better details and HDR. 3x (2.8x) Periscope (Oppo) vs. 3.7x Periscope (Vivo): The Vivo gives sharper results, but they look slightly oversharpened. The Oppo, on the other hand, is softer, sometimes a bit blurry and underexposed. 10x: Vivo X100 Ultra. (Max zoom is irrelevant to me, since you only see pixels anyway.) Ultra-Wide: Both are very similar, but the Oppo takes more natural pictures with better WB and more details, but looks grainy. The Vivo is smoother, offers less detail (although it uses the same ultra-wide sensor), but corrects highlights better than the Oppo. Close-up shots with telephoto (3x vs. 3.7x): The Vivo shows better processing and generally understands the scene better. The Oppo Find X7 Ultra cannot focus as closely, the pictures rarely turn out well, have clipping and are not very sharp (alternatively you could use the 6x telephoto). Portrait: Oppo Find X7 Ultra - without a doubt. --- Night mode: Ultra-Wide: Vivo X100 Ultra. Main (indoors): Vivo X100 Ultra (recognizes more details). Main (outdoors): Vivo X100 Ultra (better sharpening and HDR, but the sky looks light blue, which I don't like). Telephoto (outdoors): Vivo X100 Ultra (less noise, better HDR, better exposure and details). Selfie (outdoors): Oppo Find X7 Ultra - details and colors look better overall. --- Things I don't like about both: Oppo: green tones (too blue), video quality. If reliability and consistent results matter most to you, the Vivo X100 Ultra seems like the better overall choice, even though the Oppo has its standout features. -- Ah, you finally made it here! I don’t use either phone as my daily driver-I currently use a Xiaomi 12S Pro, which I’ve rooted and modded to suit my preferences. I think this was a very good list. The only thing I vehemently disagree with in the candy bar phones is iphone being above the Google pixel 9 pro xl and Samsung s24 ultra. Ios has too many limitations for me and Android overall has way more fun features from stylus support, to pop up view multi tasking, open operating system to download anything from anywhere, more flexibility in console emulation, Dex , corning glass screens. Also many have reported heating issues and odd inconsistencies with the 15 and 16 pro max and have told me about it periodically. I left Apple many years ago due to its limitations and I even saw them when I tested the newer devices more recently. Apart from that this list was excellent and spot on and Vivo , Oppo, Honor , Huawei and those Chinese phones killed it with the brilliant hardware optimization this year.
I wish the Vivo X100 Ultra came with the global ROM and not region locked to China. But if you can live with some Android apps having issues (not much) then X100 Ultra with Origin OS is the winner in my opinion. I hope they continue with X200 Ultra having a 1in LYTIA-900 sensor, but with a new nm architecture improving on the one used in the X100 Ultra. But the Vivo X200 Pro is amazing in so many areas, even if they dropped the sensor size for the main camera. Battery life is solid, camera is solid, and I'm sure with updates it'll get better, so I agree that the Vivo X200 Pro is the best for every day users. I love using the manual settings on my Sony phone and increasing the ceiling on what is capable on the camera standard app, and with that mindset I think Vivo X200 pro is the best compromise, especially if you want a global ROM.

ngl, I understand how everyone loves the X200 Pro, definitely because of its crazy camera system, or the X100 Ultra. but man, as a compact phone lover, I LOVE the vivo X200 Pro mini, it's literally my favorite compact phone this year; over the Xiaomi 15, the Pixel 9 Pro, the iPhone 16 Pro and (definitely) over the S24 from Samsung. but for foldable...still going for the X Fold3 Pro, its camera system is probably the best imo.
Origin os in English would be amazing. If you could do everything available in Chinese it would be the best operating system by a long way. We can hope. On build you should in my opinion include battery it is an integral part of the phone. A small lithium battery with a very poor number of recharge cycles to 80% is now as bad as not having 5g built in.
A bit nitpicky here since it's still a nice giveway (well, a raffle really), but was it ever mentioned prior to this video that the Huawei Mate XT was excluded? I was planning to participate specifically to get the Huawei Mate XT, so I think I would have noticed if any previous videos had mentioned it wasn't an option. Hi I absolutely love your honest straight forward approach to all your videos, Now I need a bit of advice please, I need a large screen size phone, 6.8 inch or more, less than £1K, more importantly everything works, I use to use a heawei mate 8 best phone I ever had, then come the xiaomi and now honor pro 6, that come from china with Google play pre installed and they have both been a total nightmare when it comes to connectivity, android auto been one that never works and something I could really do with, could you recommend anything thats comes to mind, it would be a great help, I am aware everyone has there own opinion and yours might be different to mine but honestly I need my connectivity life setting free lol.

I think the honor magic 7 pro did not get the upgrades it needed but it is still a very good phone for me especially for people who have been using a very outdated honor phone. But I still think the vivo X200 pro is still the best smartphone of the year. I wish it had the Snapdragon 8 Elete

Have you lost your mind the best software is samsung one UI 6.1 and next month OUI 7.0 it's just the best and as for the crappy apple OS customization 😂😂😂😂😂 your having a laugh there is basically zero it's as exciting as watching paint dry and I've dropped my samsung 21 ultra on to a hard tiled floor twice and there wasn't a scratch zero damage to the screen and yes the oppo vegan leather back looks nice and feels good in the hand but come on most people 80%+ will put a case on their £1,000 flagship phone so design awards really doesn't really matter that much 😮
Apple has created the identical device since 2019. I can not reward them for being rugged or resilient, especially when they haven't changed manufacturing tooling or processes for years, so of course, their devices are going to be reliable. Apple turned from one of the most exciting companies starting in 2008 to one of the most boring tech companies on the planet.. a tech company that knows full well they are exploiting brand loyalty by creating the identical device with a slight camera and processor upgrade and selling it as some new Flagship device. In North America, the three big tech companies exploit the fact that most Americans are unaware their devices are mid-tier at best when compared to some of the Chinese competition.. these companies are being protected, and I think consumers should stop rewarding companies that continue to release devices that do not even compete when it comes to aesthetics, camera, and excitement.. Samsung Google and Apple release devices that are fairly close Tech wise each year. This is the guarantee they each get their own piece of the pie and they don't step on each other's toes too much. We all know there's major advancements in battery tech, which decreases product thickness and increases battery capacity.. yet Samsung Apple and Google continue using standard lithium ion with a 15 watt Wireless capacity and a maximum 45 watt wired charging speed.. if anything, the batteries in these devices should have been upgraded, and charging speeds should be adjusted to this century. Ultimately just as I stopped buying Apple devices years ago once they started making the iPhone 11ssssssss and calling it amazing and then unleashing their multi-million dollar marketing to convince people "Apple Intelligence " is some amazing thing when most of the features have not even been released. The iPhone 16 Pro is simply just an upgraded iPhone 11. I used to switch each year from Android to iPhone and then Android to iPhone.. that was when I realized companies that produce Android phones were the only companies adding features and pushing limits.. now I see the Android companies that we're adding features and pushing limits are now doing the exact same thing Apple did.. with that said I will not buy another Samsung Google or Apple device until the device they release is equal to or the best on the market.. at this point, I will be picking out a device from an average dads website and will continue to upgrade through that site Intel Apple or Samsung create a device so good that it out does the Chinese device.

My 15 plus, overheats just running maps in van, always need tu turn on AC to cool back of phone down, so brightness comes back.
Brilliant wrap up for the year, and so many lovely phones in there.... but 'honest AD' makes the difference!

Vivo x100 ultra is the best camera phone and also overall best mobile of 2024.

Origin os in English would be amazing. If you could do everything available in Chinese it would be the best operating system by a long way. We can hope.
On build you should in my opinion include battery it is an integral part of the phone. A small lithium battery with a very poor number of recharge cycles to 80% is now as bad as not having 5g built in.
A bit nitpicky here since it's still a nice giveway (well, a raffle really), but was it ever mentioned prior to this video that the Huawei Mate XT was excluded? I was planning to participate specifically to get the Huawei Mate XT, so I think I would have noticed if any previous videos had mentioned it wasn't an option. Oh, and I didn't end up participating because I forgot how many days were in November.
I doughted between the Magic V3 and the VIVO X Fold pro 3. I bought the V3 because it is slimmer and lighter.
Hi I absolutely love your honest straight forward approach to all your videos, Now I need a bit of advice please, I need a large screen size phone, 6.8 inch or more, less than £1K, more importantly everything works, I use to use a heawei mate 8 best phone I ever had, then come the xiaomi and now honor pro 6, that come from china with Google play pre installed and they have both been a total nightmare when it comes to connectivity, android auto been one that never works and something I could really do with, could you recommend anything thats comes to mind, it would be a great help, I am aware everyone has there own opinion and yours might be different to mine but honestly I need my connectivity life setting free lol.

I think the honor magic 7 pro did not get the upgrades it needed but it is still a very good phone for me especially for people who have been using a very outdated honor phone. But I still think the vivo X200 pro is still the best smartphone of the year. I wish it had the Snapdragon 8 Elete

Have you lost your mind the best software is samsung one UI 6.1 and next month OUI 7.0 it's just the best and as for the crappy apple OS customization 😂😂😂😂😂 your having a laugh there is basically zero it's as exciting as watching paint dry and I've dropped my samsung 21 ultra on to a hard tiled floor twice and there wasn't a scratch zero damage to the screen and yes the oppo vegan leather back looks nice and feels good in the hand but come on most people 80%+ will put a case on their £1,000 flagship phone so design awards really doesn't really matter that much 😮

Apple has created the identical device since 2019. I can not reward them for being rugged or resilient, especially when they haven't changed manufacturing tooling or processes for years, so of course, their devices are going to be reliable. Apple turned from one of the most exciting companies starting in 2008 to one of the most boring tech companies on the planet.. a tech company that knows full well they are exploiting brand loyalty by creating the identical device with a slight camera and processor upgrade and selling it as some new Flagship device. In North America, the three big tech companies exploit the fact that most Americans are unaware their devices are mid-tier at best when compared to some of the Chinese competition.. these companies are being protected, and I think consumers should stop rewarding companies that continue to release devices that do not even compete when it comes to aesthetics, camera, and excitement.. Samsung Google and Apple release devices that are fairly close Tech wise each year. This is the guarantee they each get their own piece of the pie and they don't step on each other's toes too much. We all know there's major advancements in battery tech, which decreases product thickness and increases battery capacity.. yet Samsung Apple and Google continue using standard lithium ion with a 15 watt Wireless capacity and a maximum 45 watt wired charging speed.. if anything, the batteries in these devices should have been upgraded, and charging speeds should be adjusted to this century. Ultimately just as I stopped buying Apple devices years ago once they started making the iPhone 11ssssssss and calling it amazing and then unleashing their multi-million dollar marketing to convince people "Apple Intelligence " is some amazing thing when most of the features have not even been released. The iPhone 16 Pro is simply just an upgraded iPhone 11. I used to switch each year from Android to iPhone and then Android to iPhone.. that was when I realized companies that produce Android phones were the only companies adding features and pushing limits.. now I see the Android companies that we're adding features and pushing limits are now doing the exact same thing Apple did.. with that said I will not buy another Samsung Google or Apple device until the device they release is equal to or the best on the market.. at this point, I will be picking out a device from an average dads website and will continue to upgrade through that site Intel Apple or Samsung create a device so good that it out does the Chinese device.
My top 5 candy bar would be.1. Oppo x7 ultra,2. Xiaomi 14 ultra, 3. Vivo x100 ultra, 4. honor magic 6 ultimate, 5. Samsung Galaxy s24 ultra/ iphone 16 pro Max

I've did use an i-phone but you really have lost your mind what about the samsung eco-system everything you do on an i-phone you can do with the samsung eco-system and obviously I'm a samsung Knight and baised and yes the samsung S24 ultra isn't the best of everything but overall nothing can compete with it the build quality the anti-reflective bright screen, built-in S-Pen samsung One UI total customization the samsung eco-system 7 yrs of software updates and security patches and if you damage it you can just walk into any uk 🇬🇧 samsung shop and drop it off and get it repaired with 2 weeks not 12 weeks with a non global ROM phone
