There does need to be more AI but there’s a lot more than there was on legacy, those were a struggle growing a Rex a few years ago, no players online to eat, no AI to spawn
I didn't even know these were a thing. I don't play the game, I watch videos because they're fun and pteranodon is my favorite. This was really cool to watch, lil mutant bird. Love that it loafs like a cat.
You can actually catch frogs in water by left-click attack, the timing is key, strike like 1 sec ahead of time. I managed to do it last night in this starving simulator, sadly I died from hunger just as I was about to land and eat it.
You'll never believe this-- I was eating chips and guacamole during this video, and looked down at that moment to eat more. I gave myself a heart attack too! 😂😂😂
Imagine this game and games like this via the NVIDIA OMNIVERSE, where it's all simulated in real time and you control this simulated model in a simulated 3D world that simulated life... We could have THE ISLE on an entire simulated planets with continents were different species live... The sim verse is nuts.
I tried to get the saltwater mutation and screwed it up, so now I have a bird who is constantly thirsty and only has two mutations. I somehow totally missed the opportunity for the first mutation. Oh well. The other thing I've been trying is giving it the mutations that increase damage, to make a "war bird." So far so good. Going to keep trying different things.
You can get rid of the "fluid deficient" debuff by drinking more saltwater until it disappears! Even if you can't get the mutation, you can at least fix the thirst issue :)
If I get a secret mutation, do I need to get it every time I enter the game? Or will it stay forever so that all my dinos can enjoy it without the hassle of getting it again?
@@igornunes3482 Here are the ones I know about-- Cannibal (haven't tried this for myself): consume enough meat from your own species. Saltwater: Drain your water meter twice by drinking salt water. Reinforced Tendons (reduced jump cost): drain your stamina bar three times by jumping.
It's bad enough that the isle has one of the worst flight systems currently in an animal survival game, but it went one step further in making you have to lie down for a billion years in between short flights. And to add insult to injury, they intentionally made flight this bad when they had a much better looking prototype 4 years ago.
What makes the flight system awful, to you, besides the admittedly atrocious stam regen? I just started playing a year and a half ago, so I'm unfamiliar with the prototype you mentioned. I really enjoy the way flight works in the Isle, but that may just be because I've gotten used to it XD
@@gabrielkanka -There is no separate flapping and gliding modes. The animations just mix together without you having any control over which you want to do. I’ll take The Isles flight over the animated levitation they pass as flying in other games like Ark, PoT or BoB. Still would love a better stam system though.
@@Nrex117 Ark I agree with, but PoT and BoB both have the same basic flight as the isle, if not a bit better since they are faster and don't have the atrocious stam. I'd take the isle as a game over those two on most days, but still.
@@jacklarrieu9208 tapping space to fly up instead of holding it will help a lot. Time it with your wing beats. Also, using shift to sprint-- you only need to tap it until your wings flap-- momentum will keep you moving at sprint speed without having to hold the button down and drain stam.
I played around with it more and figured out that it also affects how much stamina you use when flying upward! Still not sure if it's worth it, but I enjoyed experimenting.

It’s getting thermals and slipstreams, both of which keep it in the air even longer than it already can be. It’s gonna be fine.

Mutations are currently being tested in an experimental branch of the game-- they haven't released to the main branch yet. Ptera is my favorite too! ❤
Just FYI, as a Herrera I counted: only had to jump 50 times to unlock Reinforced Tendons

You can only pick them up if you're above a certain size, I think. Otherwise they just die and stay in the water.

to unlock salt water mutation u need to drain 3 full bars of water drinking salt water

i wonder if the one that changes stamina tresholds would be remotely useful to pteras
If it has anything to do with stamina, the devs won't give it to ptera XD
yeah on horde testing the rivers and lakes are always empty of fish now only swamp seems to spawn then right now
