The Gay Daleks ... I remember when 'TV Offal' first came out over 10 years ago. The episode where the gay daleks mistake Dr Stephen Hawking for Ironside ... brilliant.
For the uneducated youngsters out there.. This was the first outing for the Gay Daleks from a Channel 4 show by Victor Lewis-Smith called TV Offal. The pilot was shown in 1997 followed up by a 6 part series if I can remember. I think the irony ia wasted on too many of u youngsters brought up on todays Dr Who (2004-now) Funny as fuck if u ask me but this was only a small segment of the warped, if a little disturbed, humour of Victor Lewis-Smith. funny!!!!!!
How else are you supposed to display gay Daleks? Just like regular people? Then it becomes a political statement, and NOT a joke. It can only be a joke if it uses stereotypes. Japanese Daleks have samurai swords, Italian ones have paint brushes, or are called Mario and Luigi and retain their plungers, American ones are hugely overweight and thick, and German ones...well, they're Daleks. See what I did there? A JOKE!

Erm, HOW can Daleks BE gay when they're unisex? They don't have humanoid parts and they don't have emotions - apart from anger, hatred and fear of the Doctor! D'uh!
What stuff do they they use for the 'white wee wee' in the Gay Daleks sketches? Whipped cream, or that fairy liquid stuff from the Cyberman from 'Tomb Of The Cybermen'?

I think this would have been funnier without the build up. I get the joke about the gay Daleks, but we don't need to hear the narrator beating the joke into the ground before we get to it.
