Having been at ToysRUs in the early days of the spread of the pandemic, I had seen firsthand that certain toy displays were empty and the interactive treehouse was regularly cleaned or straight up closed at one point. Like many stores in the New Jersey mall, they closed their doors in mid March and gave yet to reopen, even in an online order pickup capacity.
Mine became a multiple genres outlet store. Shoes there, right next to discounted washing machines. It's nice to see that they are trying to rework themselves back into the market
The new toys r us is giving me more of a Disney store vibe and I love it!! So happy to see it up and coming again. I was so sad when it closed and thought about how one day my kids will never get the experience I had. Now, I don’t have to worry about that
I’ve heard tale that many brick and mortars will be looking to the “experience” model, and I can believe it. My gf drug me to LUSH once and I’m not a guy big into bath bombs and other skin care things, but the workers took me around, gave me demos of different products and I walked out with more stuff than my GF, still occasionally shop there. Anecdotally I can say it’s effective. Online shopping can’t provide that.

Walmart’s now “the #1 toy store in America” literally a few days after Toys R Us closed
WalMart sucks.
For me, Target takes the spot.
Actually it’s McDonald’s as far as toy sales.
walmart and target is bs bc canadian
Toys Were Us takes the lead for me.
I think the secret to bringing it back needs to be exclusive toys and unique developments.
*can I buy some shark stuff there now-*
I'd rather have them carry exclusives over Walmart. Never had any problems finding their exclusives versus Walmart, who NEVER stocks their exclusives.
The "new" TRU concept store is the Toys R Us concept that already existed in Asia even before the pandemic & during the American closures.
As of 2021, the 2 Toys R Us mall locations have since closed; and Toys R Us has recently opened a flagship store in American Dream Mall
No one:
Toys R us : *This isn't even my final form*
Who else can't wait for Closed For Storm?
I'm definitely excited for it
When is it coming out again? I really want to see it
@@SparklRebel Sometime after restrictions are less weighted, I don't think they're done filming yet, so they have to wait for interviews and stuff like that to be available. I think.
New Orleans doesn't have many amusement parks, and I'd like to know how it was affected
@@harryandmarv6532 one word: Katrina
I loved taking my kids to Toys R Us. They would be so happy to run down the aisles looking at cool toys. I miss those days.
I didn't know they went under until maybe after a year, here in Portugal they're still around (and in Spain too). The big box store I used to go to by a mall when I was little is still there.
From what I was told some spanish company is running the Iberian locations, I don't know if it's in a franchising way or what else, but they're still kicking like the old days over here.
The old ToysRus by me turned into an adult novelty store.
Same but opposite intention. Bringing toys to the public. Lol
Lmao
What year is your z06
Serena Yvonne 2007
CorvetteZ06owner oh cool
The excitement of going to toys r us was like it was your birthday or your going holiday I truly hope toys r Us will fully open in every country to spread more joy like it did for everyone else
I didn't think they'd come back with a vengeance like they did. I don't know whether to be excited or shocked. All I know is I'm surprised.
Doesn't surprised go with shocked? XD
Come back with a vengeance is two stores? That are basically just owned by target? As your name implies you’re clueless
@@Mocityspirit Oh I'm the one who's clueless because of my name, really? If all you're gonna do is post a rude comment, please just save your breath. You aren't gonna offend me one bit by what you say.
It truly does make me happy to know that the brand could be coming back. We’ve all got fond memories of going into their shops, seeing their adverts on TV and flicking though the catalogues and must have toys for Christmas. ☺️
I remember when I was a kid I use to go to Toys R Us to buy Thomas and Friends toys , when I got older I was buying some Transformers Toys.
Anyone remember "little miss magic hair"? Her hair would change color with hot or cold water.
Damn Coronavirus ruining everything. I miss my Toys R Us experiences where I made friends and enjoyed many events that were exclusive to their stores
Carona didnt ruin anything. A marxist government and media did. Carona is a propaganda scam. Election year spread the fear

You have no idea how much better this made my day.
Well that’s one of the most hopeful and uplifting episodes of this series, I’m glad Toys R us is coming back
Omg youre alive!!! Welcome back Jake we missed you
Toys R used to be my most FAVORITE STORE EVER when I was much younger, but since closed I haven't seen it in 2 years, and I missed toys...
I can't wait when all that is going on is over and we can have Toys R Us all over America and go back to my childhood memories! 😁
Since I’m from Canada I never really felt the hit of Toys R us closures but I’m happy the brand is returning
The city I live in never had a Toys R Us. We did a have a small store called Toys and Wheels which was owned by TRU.
When I was in Vancouver last year i was amazed that I saw a toys r us sign but just thought it was old
I literally never realized that the "R" was backwards
Please don't hunt me down

C.Q. Cumber: You failed to realize that the "R" was backwards-test failed.
What are yu on
Toys “Я” Us LOL
My childhood died when the Toys R us I used to go to was shut down.
Did anyone else have the Toys R' Us jingle playing through their head the whole time they were watching this?
legionaireb Now I do
I had the super Mario world credits theme for some reasons
the Toys R Us kid? yeah.
It’s been so long since I have been there that I forgot the damn theme
oh my god I never realised
Having been at ToysRUs in the early days of the spread of the pandemic, I had seen firsthand that certain toy displays were empty and the interactive treehouse was regularly cleaned or straight up closed at one point. Like many stores in the New Jersey mall, they closed their doors in mid March and gave yet to reopen, even in an online order pickup capacity.
Man I missed Toys R Us. When I was a kid I loved walking around looking at all the toy displays.
Mine became a multiple genres outlet store. Shoes there, right next to discounted washing machines. It's nice to see that they are trying to rework themselves back into the market
"Return of the King"
I wish those big box Toys"R"Us stores, I really want the Green Acres Toys"R"US back, and the Times Square one.
Canada still has 83 locations, all big box, except for one ToyBox concept store in Guelph, Ontario.
The times square one had an arcade, ice cream shop and a ferris wheel for god's sake, and it got changed into an old navy, that's bs of the highest degree
Oh God. Every birthday, I got to go to Toys ‘R’ Us. The memories.
3:02 Did anybody else notice he said “2007” instead of 2017?
Me!
Time travel XD
Yes
I remember Geoffrey the Giraffe would send me birthday cards up until I was like 13.
I never got my giraffe toy and never will be cause I'm probably too old.
I forgot about the birthday cards I used to get! The memories.
i used to get those tooo
Me: reads this
Also me: sad memories return 🥺
I miss those...
Ruth Best my little brother still has his Geoffrey toy, he could use a new one and this may be the time
Update: They just closed both stores again last month.
Nooooo please no I hope it’s not true
@@brittanyann3994 Sorry, It’s true
Guess I'm going to Canada if the Texas one closed.
"Lets rehire all the corrupt higher-ups that ran us into the ground!" I miss ToysRus but i feel like this won't ever be the same because they will do what they did already, drain it of its value and then close it

I never liked online shopping lol
Dang ur right!
Heiser yup. Like shopping online groceries? I understand during Covid 19 but personally I always enjoyed going to the grocery store and just looking for things.
Yesssssssssss.
This is how many toys from here we all get⬇️🦒
Any 80s kid will always remember when the electric doors opened and the one and only smell of the store hit your nose...I didn't always get a toy when I was there. But while I was there I had all of them. Huge part of my childhood.
Very cool update. Thanks for the on-going amazing work.
