It looks like a piece of art in a wooden frame!

The moment Rob starts to explain the modules just by looking at the pcb & wiring. Priceless.
I'd love to see more - it's absolutely captivating to see the love (and knowledge) for synths you guys share. Keep it up 🤘

Makes me think I’d like to see an EMU modular covered on this channel. Would be epic as well..😊

The marvellous it looks frontside the ugly it looks backside but its always the sound that counts.

This functions as a reminder that my goal of building my own synth might just be out of reach 😆

I've built a few. Start simple and it will come together. It's all little building blocks.

Definitely a sculptural work of art as much as an instrument.

Would have loved to hear some sounds, even if it’s not fully restored yet.

Such potentials in that now "ancient" frame! Any links to things done with it?

I would live an OB-8 even a single voice 😂I hope the UB-8 will be coming close enough. I don’t know which synth I will sacrifice to make space though 😂

That is pretty amazing. I have used a 2-voice and even that was breathtaking. Seems like an incredible amount of possibilities for cross-modulation. The question is how much of a difference does the doubling of a 4-voice make in terms of actually useful and distinct timbres? Too much modulation can easily fall into uncontrollable incoherence, which tends to lose expressiveness. I'd love to hear this thing do what no other synth can.

Looks like Casey wasn't a fan of cable ties, let alone old-school cable lacing!
