Hahahaha lol
Damn I was gonna make that joke
Lmao
Lmao thats damn right hahahah
Who's he talking to in the song?
Now I know why old fans hate new BMTH sound.
heh, "music"
Yeah, you don't just drop an album like this with a voice like that and then just...change. Nah nah nah nah nah.
@@Oh_its_Mike bruh y'all gotta just move on, they changed, they're not going to sound like this no more. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ like don't get me wrong i love their old music but I also love their new music. I'm not going stop listening to them just because they sound different 😂
Mother Tongue still makes me cry at night knowing what they were clearly capable of in their humble beginnings
@@Oh_its_Mike Well he fucked up his voice because he didn't use the proper technique to get those vocals, wasn't that a big part for them to change?
16 years later, a collab with Ed Sheeran came along. But Ed is also a metalhead, listened to Slipknot and Cradle Of Filth as a child.
But u can't say it's bad dude
@@ishakadhianton.6346 Yeah, I think it's good. I like their old and new stuff.
Would be interested in seeing Ed Sheeran making a heavy LP.
@@masterknife8423 He said he's considered that, he isn't opposed to it. Dani Filth said "I'll believe it when I see it". I'm not sure how Corey Taylor, who is famously a pop hater, would react.

Imagine being some kind of loser who doesn’t understand listening to a range of music lol
This is BMTH to me. I don’t have anything against the newer fans of the past 10 years, but these are the albums I love.
I didnt know they did an album besides this one, i got it as a hand out back in the day, but i recently understand the disconnect when i was talking to this chick with a bmth shirt and shes like oh i dont like metal😂
It went slightly different after chelsea smile somewhere near that. But times where different too
I'm just sad I never got to see them live when this and [Self-Delete] Season were in pocket. I still do like their newer stuff but, if they play this live and I am fortunate enough to see them, only Iron Man can stop me from laying waste to that pit.
Sempiternal was their last great album, imo.
BMTH peaked in 2013, ur 100% right.

Ed Sheraan was kid when this video uploaded.
CYB is a Deathcore masterpiece. Every track on the album is great. They had such an unique sound on this album. There was and there still is no Deathcore band that sounds like how BMTH sounded on CYB. That is also what makes this album special. Really wish they would've made at least one more album with this sound. Oliver also had great and unique sounding Deathcore vocals. Especially his high scream was really good, sounded evil. Wonder if they have some unreleased tracks from this era... If they have, then it would be great to hear them.
2nd beat death core album to their second album SUICIDE SEASON BABYYYY WOOOO
You’re forgetting about early suicide silence even before CYB SS sounded more insane and had their own sound especially how Mitch sounded I love both cyb and early suicide silence tho
Oli has been eluding to what the next album is, and he has made multiple references to CYB...
@@GoblinZen Early SS was great, Mitch was an insane vocalist. Especially his highs were so powerful and he was a great frontman.

Coming back to this video after all of these years really puts perspective on how much people really change. I feel like they have always pushed the envelope when it came to their sound and releasing new material. I used to be one of the early fans, saying things like 'they were better when they were heavy' or 'remember when bmth was deathcore?' etc. But the truth is I have listened to/own all of their albums and never really found a release that I didn't like (for the most part). in retrospect, the issue wasn't that they changed so much, it's that I couldn't accept change. Bring Me The Horizon will be a band that I will always enjoy and I'm glad I got to grow with them and see how successful they have become.
Cheers everyone! \m/
This resonated with me so much.
I wonder how the new fans would react to this...

@@FelixMarshFTW so does playing Deathcore or Metalcore make you depressed?.
the first LP and this song is not only deathcore, its mutch more its metal its black metal its emo its deathcore its so many metal genre on one song and the did this a few times thats the reason why this shit is soooo good.
@@oopirates96 other way around my friend; sempiternal is literally based around Oliver's depression and addiction to drugs, "just a dozen steps and 28 days" is a reference to the getting over addiction process, you can read about it on genius, go to hell for heavens sake is literally directed toward himself
Basically, be miserable if you want to make a masterpiece
That's why bmth is such a good band, no matter what genre it is its quality music, he could have wrote a crappy song about how great life is now that he's remarried and happier but no, they're bmth, and they're still as alternative and beautiful as ever

because they are the same emo cancer like the old fans
it's amazing how the debates over bmth's "new sound" never ended. they were one of my favourite bands when i was 12 and back then everyone was still bitching to each other about how they hated the new music and that the band sucked for changing. i have so much nostalgia and love for this band, every generation of bring me kicks ass. so much respect to these guys for staying relevant in the industry making music they care about. even if i don't vibe with their current music i'm still a fan and i'm glad they're getting new fans

This is one best bmth songs ever
I remember i met a girl, we started a conversation as normal people does. Then, we started talking about music, i asked her: "What music do you like?" she said that she likes BMTH. I fell in love until i asked about her favorite BMTH tracks, and guess what? all of them were from That's The Spirit. The psychopath inside me awakened, and i asked her: "Have you ever heard their first songs?" she said no, i started searching for Pray For Plagues. She was excited until the track started. Let's say she was traumatized, we only heard 10 seconds and she was like "TURN THAT SHIT OFF!".
Damn, it's just impossible to forget a day like that one xD
Dump her right away
Things that never happened
Facu Reinoso Why does it matter if she hadn't heard their old shit?

If you don't appreciate the screaming, then appreciate the instrumental of the song, cuz honestly, it's a *lot* better than the instrumentals of their newer songs
Seriously. Their first EP, Count Your Blessings, and Suicide Season had some of the greatest instrument work in deathcore/metalcore history.
Exactly
I'm more of a fan of their works from There Is A Hell onwards, but I respect the instrumental work from their earlier albums too, it's some of the best I've heard
Volkner maybe deathcore but not metalcore Avenged Sevenfold had better instrumentals on waking the fallen. By far A7X was the best core band before going to regular metal.
The_Legend I agree Waking the Fallen was a masterpiece and STST was very good.
Volkner and in regular metal city of evil was one of my favorites
People really thought BMTH was Christian rock, lmao
This is the bmth I love
