Wow what an amazing video. I'm so jealous you were invited for a ride. Whenever I ask to get into a locomotive to take pictures I get told off for not wearing a reflector vest and safety boots.Also the tracks on the old siding look so shockingly bad and outdated I would never think a train could pass there.
Oh wow! That's so cool being invited for a ride! I drive pass Wictra regularly to fetch supplies for work from the company next door. It's always interesting to see what they are working on.
I usually wait till after midnight to watch such long videos as it saves my bandwidth but I've been waiting and hoping this would crop up soon. Excellent video of another one of Cape Towns rarely seen rail activities. There's so many interesting points to note in this video, I personally didn't know it was the steepest siding in the Cape and to be honest I wasn't aware it was so long and elaborate within the facility either. Did the driver recognise you from past sightings?
