I *really* like the robots design and the way the magic/machine system works. It feels alien and dangerous, completely inorganic and un-human in every way. The magic itself functions inorganically as well- its not a living system, transported into a machine, but looks like a static, nearly binary logic, folded and shaped by machinery into use. Very interesting.
@greyphilospher8638 I'm so glad you think so. That's exactly the intended purpose of how magiamachina leverages magic in my world, in a rather binary, cold and mechanical way. Well summarized my friend

3:42 "only allowed for interpretive logic applications. creative media is strictly forbidden" that is exactly my opinion about AI! i like the idea of combination of magic and machines! and how does AI "level 3" look and function like? new sub!
Think of level 3 A.I. in this universe (inspired by actual level 3 AI in reality) as "Enterprise management" or "Institutionally influential" A.I... Intelligent, self evolving logic systems that literally can shape the fabric of society coupled with all of the distinctions and flaws of human nature. For that reason, level 3 A.I. is extremely forbidden, think of it like a taboo flame that was once experimented with, but never resurfaced again due to its potential for irreparable dangers. In the world of Kenix (Animus), this was tampered with mostly by the human species, "Men" whereas Castes and especially Novo were wary of its dangers without needing to explore them first. And welcome to the channel ;)
Its a really nice concept but id like to know the real difference between a normal minigun (for example) and a magic-powered minigun? Its still the same weapon, the same mechanism. And in the case of robots, whats the difference if you power it with magic? Is magic just electricity on steroids? Is it an infinite source of power? does it affect the mechanism its applied to? does it physicly mold the object its applied on? what does it do? From what I´ve understood from the video its electricity on steroids, and i feel like there could be so much more. Sorry if this reads like a hate comment but truly I would just like some more info.
Great question, and you're fine :) "Magic" in my universe is something entirely different than a conventional energy source like electricity. It's a phenomenon that exists only when the right variables are present and manipulated in an environment, almost like an alchemy which when used can create spells (watch my video on the 3 species of humans to understand more 😉). In this case, with machines, when magic is applied to their functionality, it's through a finite reserve which can be used for anything from power sources, or spell activations in more complex protocols. In every scenario, the involvement of mages (castes or novo) is required since magic can only be created by them VS non-magic creating human species like men. Men are great with technology while the other races are better with magic
@@creativeanimus i see i see and can zil theoretically be manipulated too? (that would make a craaazy character) or is it so rare that little is known about it at all?

So if Magiamachia is the result of collaboration between Man and Castes, or one such combination given that Man are proto notpsychics, wouldn't there be two other counterparts that resulted from the collaboration of Man and Novo and Novo and Castes? Perhaps a very specific artifact, system, and/or character is formed from the collaboration of all three?
Great questions. First, magiamachina as a technology that was first conceived through the collaborative efforts of Men and Castes many centuries ago which would later evolve with time. Producing it in the modern world of Animus doesn't always require both parties to physically be present thanks to industrialization and manufacturing processes :) For your second question: There are other technological advancements between the other species, however not all species share the same interconnectedness with their cultural norms as others may. Novo generally prefer a simple, traditional life connected to nature and away from commercialization. Whereas Men, historically, tend to be the opposite. Caste society is also traditional in their own ways, but like each of the species, have their own history and relationships. Does that make sense :)?
@@creativeanimus for the most part. It effectively boils down to when the initial collaboration happened and under what context. Since Man and Castes have a considerable history of being in the same country Magiamachia was formed early on and proceeded from there. There may be other collaborations that has been gestating over the years but for one reason or another they aren't as widespread or obvious. Did I get that right? However given the wide variety of Novo hybrids I kinda disagree with the notion of them being somewhat more closed off culturally. If anything it seems that their culture interacted with the others quite a lot in the early days and quite possibly where some of the oldest and perhaps forgotten collaborations were made. Just because Man shows a tendency towards technology and products doesn't mean it is necessarily at odds with nature and a more simple life. Other aspects of their notpsychic capabilities may be more compatible and thus take center stage. It doesn't seem that strange to me for there to be an ancient highly advanced civilization that was formed due to various factors bringing populations and subcultures together into a constructive blend and had a defining feature of having an unusually strong connection with the reality around them. They may have even been a variety of hybrid cultures throughout history, each leaving remains and just as advanced in their own ways, before the current iteration came to be.
@@andresmarrero8666 yes you're right. Men (as a general tribe/ species of human in my world) tend to culturally favor commercialization the most more than others. But that doesn't mean *every* individual or group descendant from Men favors commercialization. And keep in mind, commercialization more so "the active business of spreading their technology" rather than inventing it only :) Other races, especially the Castes and Novo do that too. Novo (also speaking generally) historically, have a much longer history of non-commercial traditions. Despite that, many Novo have built their lives into almost every region of the world and maintain their identity within industrial or natural regions of the world still :) (hybrid & pure-breed Novo alike)
@@creativeanimus Man does seem to like to build stuff. Probably because their abilities largely connect them to what they build. Now I am envisioning a Sheep Novo/Lightning Caste hybrid culture that formed and lasted for centuries before adopting influences from Man as the area around them became more industrialized leading to them becoming accomplished engineers. The result? Electric sheep that loves to pilot mechs, wear fancy power armor, and use lots and lots of drones.
