I think you have to keep moving the fishing areas as they fish out all of the fish. When you stop fishing it replenishes and you can go back to that area. Also it`s a good idea to make more camp fires for the larger population to be able to cook when they want to as it boosts morale.
Hey, Trev just so you know the fishing areas deplete over time you can see how much is left in there so you need to switch them out by clicking on it. Additionally you can change the number of people working on a work area. Also I think you can set hunting areas.

It said that not having sleighs reduces morale when transporting. So getting those might be as important as spiritualism.
