Lots of little quirks. Reset the floats twice and it still leaks out the overflow tubes if I don't shut the gas off. I've had Cl and CB 450's that did the same thing. I've had a CL 360 and a CB 360 that did the same thing too. I'm a Honda guy though and still have two of them. P.S. I've got a long story about setting the points and ignition timing on my 305 too but it'd take too long. The CLl77 is one of those bikes that a 13 year old in the mid 60's yearned after.
Absolutely love high pipe bikes.... Have a 66 red frame silver tank and fenders with 659 Original miles. And all original bike... Just one of my pride and joys.
Spent my teenage years in Dallas in the 60s tearing up the streets on a 305 scrambler. Loved that bike and many of my friends had them. I ran hell out of that bike and never had an issue with it. What a great starter bike for a young man in the day. Would love to find a pristine restored one circa 65-67
have 3 cl77's that need extensive care...hard to believe the condition of that bike had sit for years not a speck of dust...the bike looks perfect....like the color combo...may do one of the bikes that color
I had loved that Honda Model from back then - it had a different look than the other models - btw: I know yo know what you are doing, but - my 750 had sat for over 30 years in my storage room. I was able to restore her during shelter in place and finally having a home with a garage in CT. Plugs were removed so no compression, then some 3 in 1 into the cylinders to soak. Then the gentle manual rotation - Now she has her own channel -
Hey Eric, I enjoyed the scrambler video. I just picked up a 66 CL77 from Van yesterday. Very complete. I'll be doing the same ritual soon. Funny your page popped up this morning. Looks like an original red frame with the tank, fenders and side covers repainted silver. Came with snuff or nots and the tool kit, I'll text you some pics after I get it out of the truck. I got it for my son Daniel who lives in Knoxville. Trying to get the next generation fired up :) I'll tell him about your page. Hope to see more 305's on your page.
Had a 1966 with out the muffler just the snuffer nuts at the end of the pipes, not healthy, 50 years later my ears are still ringing from winding it out, Dang!
Rare color ,most were black/silver or red / silver nice bike .that canister didn’t come out till 66 model.it was the 1st I did on my 66 scrambler.was to throw that thing in the garbage.
All of them. This year Honda released the SCL500 inspired by the cl77 and the CL350. Let me know your thoughts. powersports.honda.com/motorcycle/standard/scl500
Love the 305's. Had a few of them over the years. Awesome video. You mentioned the bike may be ready for a new home? Just now watching, has it been sold. Did not see any futher mention.
Gene, This one has sold but my friend who owned it has several more in equal to or better condition. Email me at motorcyclerewind@gmail.com and I will get you connected.
I’d have sold my soul for that bike in 1966 (year I graduated from high school ). Great sounds to stir old memories!
Such great motorcycles. Thanks for watching.
Best bike ever built in my 70 years!
The CL77 is an AWESOME bike. Thanks for subscribing!
I totally agree,in the past 56 years of riding and more bikes that I can remember that will always be my favorite.

WOW!!! I am guessing that's not the only bike you have.
@@motorcyclerewind just a few.,. But that's my favorite
That's the one! In the middle 1960s, a lot of young men had a Honda 305 CL Scrambler.
Thanks for showing!
They are awesome motorcycles. Thanks for watching.
Nice to see with stock pipes and not cut off ✔️🤳
This is a really great bike. Thanks for watching.
That thing is beautiful. I love the design simplicity of these bikes of yesteryear. My era.
Art.
Couldn't agree more! And you can fix them on the side of the road with the supplied tool kit.
@@motorcyclerewind . Which was an Extremely rare occurrence - a Honda having a problem other than normal maintenance.
What a jewel. The perfect bike exists
Agreed... This bike is pretty awesome!

This bike sat for years after a restoration in a climate controlled storage facility. Very well cared for you never ran. Thanks for watching.

I have always been a fan of the Scramblers. Maybe its the high pipes and the riding position.
I had one of those my Senior year of high school. That was a fun year. Mine had straight pipes and Snuffer Nots.
Neighbors must have loved you!!!! lol
Awesome Machine. And Nice Job, lots of information and Tips. Thanks 👍
You’re welcome!!! Thanks for watching
I love that sound. Reminds me of the grease bikes
Such awesome motorcycles. Thanks for watching.
My brother had the 305 I had the 250 back in 1969 .👍
The 250’s are gold now.
The rest of us would have stuck a battery in it and started it. It is a Honda!
Yeah, I probably would have done that if it was mine. It was my friends and he was selling it. Thanks for watching.
Nice looking bike, especially love the engine finning and shape, nice shiny leg burners too.
Really was a beautiful bike. My friend who owned it has several more CL77’s in equal to or better than condition.

bike lookin’ great ✨
Thanks its a beautiful motorcycle!
It looks like from what I can tell the light lit before the mark . I always thought the light should light up at the mark !
The camera angle may be playing tricks. Or maybe I set them a little ahead.
How many of those would they sell if Honda made them again?
All of them. This year Honda released the SCL500 inspired by the cl77 and the CL350. Let me know your thoughts. powersports.honda.com/motorcycle/standard/scl500

My friend who owns it has more than one in similar condition. Not sure if this particular one has sold yet.
Sooo nice .
It was such a great example of a nicely restored CL77.
Yo tuve una Honda 305 cc son muy veloces para su epoca ✌️
¡Son unas motos geniales! Los tres conducían de forma diferente: el Dream, el SuperHawk y el Scrambler. Gracias por ver
Great bike
It sure is...
That wouldn't be one of Gordon's scramblers? He had quite a collection in Mand & Cov.
It sure is. One of the great things about having Gordon as a friend is the access to really cool motorcycles.
Che really wanted a 15 minute video
Thanks for watching
Nice bike
Thanks ✌️
I had a 1964 Honda 250 street scambler with a cheater sprocket
My buddy is build a 250 now.
I remember the Honda Dream was 305 and the scrambler was 250 but what do I know
You are right. They definitely made a scrambler in a 250 version. Thanks for watching.
Just spotted this from 6 month ago. Is this bike still available and if yes can I get the price and contact number please. Thank you.
