I made one last night for my 5 yr old great grandson. I bought racoon fur & I was asking around if any the ladies in this community knew how to sew one. No one knows how to make a racoon hat & I searched youtube tutorial and found your site. Thanks. My g-grandson absolutely loves his coon hat.
Great vid but, pie is 3.14 and 3 1/8 ×2 is 6 1/4, lol. But great video. I know the math but you know way more about this stuff than I ever will which is something to appreciate. Great job!
Uncle Sasquatch hey there yeti,, just told Mike about the 3.14 or 22/7th lmfao,, sortof figured itz a gonna fit sloppy?? Peace and Best Holidaze You Can handle
Everybody needs a hat like that, a great project tor a rainy day , I spent an hour last night treading a needle lol just got old . God bless you and yours Mike
Quick correction, sorry! Circumference of a circle = 3.14 x radius. Everyone's hat will be a wee bit big, if they use 3.4! Another great video, thanks.
Great stuff Mike. Only problem is we don't have any coons here in England. I could probably make a nice one from a Siamese cat though (only joking) Cheers.
Hi Mike, thank you for sharing your experience with the great outdoors! You are so handy! God bless you 🙏🤗sewing is tedious work, but rewarding. nice finished cap!
Made my own cap thanks to your lesson which was clear and very concise. Thank you, I'm gonna feel fabulous as I hunt White Tails this season in homage to Davy Crockett.
I thought it was a good video, I thought the fur on the sides should run the other way though🤔 more natural and rain or snow would run off better. A wool liner may be a nice touch also.

i knew i would mess up on numbers cain't count worth a hoot or holler thanks for pointing that out friend
@@mike451 You have skills many crave and sharing knowledge is good!
That's better than me. I thought it was the radius squared. I'd have ended up with a raccoon overcoat if I'd have tried like that.
No it is 3.14 x radius x2
Correction to that, Circumference is actually 3.14 x Diameter
Awesome video, appreciate you taking the time...much learned. God bless...

It’s always a good sign going into a video when it has thousands of views but no dislikes.
Such a good simple video. Straight to the point. Love your shop by the way. Goals
