If you are in 30% bracket..your already paid 30% by the time you receive your salary on hand. Then if you want to buy a car for example your pay another 28% on already deducted amount, similarly each and every product has GST, then pay road tax , for petrol you pay 60% in tax itself.

I am a salaried person, fall in the IT bracket. I do not have any agricultural income or other sources. After paying my children's education loans and other EMI, I will not have any bank balance! I am totally fedup with the system that taxes only people like me, whereas many practicing doctors, auditors and businessmen, real estate players, big farmers etc escape paying no income tax. Can't expect any change in this worst and faulty system

Sad part is there's no change after 2014 aswell. The raising inflation, moving common products under luxury, squeezing taxes from every possible transaction with no benefits to the honest tax payers/ salaries employees without proper retirement benefits and huge raise in health, education rates, what not. 2% of people are paying 19% of total revenue. This talks about what is it how is it after 2014. Contributing the development of the nation blah, blah won't work all the time. We are working and paying taxes without availing any benefits from state or central govt and it goes to some people who are so called BPL just because they are not paying income tax. 1st govt should try to bring more people under income tax which increaes their income instead they are encouraging black money by increasing the capital gain tax on stocks, long term and short term by removing indexing cost and milking money. Now people start showing the selling price as less and convert most of it to black. More black money more wealth to the so called realestate people. Thanks to the NDA govt.
