I bought my 2018 Klr in December. My first dual sport. I'm from New Jersey and spent the winter preparing the bike for adventure and did some adventures around learning and testing the bike. I identified with his style (riding alone, slowly and carefully). I'm finalizing the preparation of things for camping. Heck yah got to get out there and do some exploring it's worth every penny and effort and if there is any Anxiety or fear just know that thats the point because without fear there is no adventure

My sleeping pad is the KLYMITO Insulated Static V Luxe And yes I would recommend it. It's very thick and comfy. It's not the cheapest but I used the cheaper version of this pad for about 3 years before it popped and it was also very good.
