what I don't understand is why people go to beach in a 4wd vehicle and don't lock it in when they get to the beach or don't know how to use it and then some wait till they get half stuck then try to lock it in when it's to late

Open diffs anyone? LMFAO at the civic at 3:14 ! I love driving on the beach! Sadly, in California, there's only one stretch of beach where that's legal, and that happens to be Pismo Beach.
theres a bunch of other beachs u can drive on. we got 3 up here in cape cod alone. we take our 28 foot 4x4 motorhome out on the beach and just stay out there for days fishing. never get stuck
Havent you guys ever heard of letting out 15 pounds of air in each tire on your vehicle BEFORE you enter the beach so that way the tires are not as hard on the sand and if you get stuck you do not dig into the sand with harder tires.
i remember that day that was a bad spot every one was getting stuck in by the time i went through it with my truck it was a nice hole for people with out 4x4 to get stuck in
trick to get out of sand.........always bring a hydraulic jack.........dig out under truck , find a board or sticks, put jack on board and lift truck up, fill in holes and put truck diown and drive off

Look at where the driver side rear wheel is in the wheel well. I guess what they say is true. Take the doors off, get off road, and watch your uni-body fold in half.

10-15 lbs psi. Keep it in a lower gear. Once you get goin don't slow down unless you absolutely have too

I'll teach you an easier way:
Deflate your tires to 20-15 psi. Drive like your on a normal road.
@NNCization A lot of people don't know how to drive on the beach. I don't have 4x4 and I never get stuck.

locking diffs would help.... and air down the tires... you can buy a nice truck but that dont mean you know how to drive it
