With Korean shows, you gotta pay attention. There are usually 'blink and you miss it' type of clues throughout. Keeping the theories and deep analysis towards the end after you've watched the whole episode is usually the better way.
32:30 funny thing about the crazy lady calling people "Babe" (according to the subtitles). She's really calling them "Oppa", which roughly means old man. She's trying to seem younger by referring to other people as older than her.
Guys, the guy with the glasses is getting hints in his food because he is the doctor who is helping harvest the organs. the pink guys are helping him survive.
Sang Woo (no 218) was kinda figured what the game was on episode 3 but refused to share the info with the rest of his teammates, while the doctor ( no 111) was given the clue on what the next games would be
The gorgeous actress who plays Kang Sae-byeok (the pickpocket) is an international model, and this is literally her first acting job. I think she knocked it out of the park. Apparently, she was even doing both North and South Korean accents, depending on who she's talking to in the show (North Korean accent when talking with her brother, South Korean for all other scenes.)
The creator Mr. Hwang Dong-Hyuk said there's talks about doing a season 2 with Netflix, but he said he'd have to re-think about how to organize a season 2 production if it does get an official greenlight. He's said in interviews he was so stressed out doing so much work he lost a couple teeth! He wrote all the episodes himself AND directed all the episodes. So lots of stress as you'd imagine. On a side note about GOT. I actually read the books before watching the show. The problem is that D & D (the showrunners) ran out of published books to adapt and thought they were genius writers who can just take George's notes about the WIP final two novels and think they can come up with a good ending. Also they were probably after Star Wars money because at the time they were announced to be working on a Star Wars film after GOT was over. So rather than hand the keys to a long time writer on the show Bryan Cogman (the show bible keeper) they kept the control and the final two seasons was what we got. They wound up not working with Disney on Star Wars, which is possibly due to the negative reactions people had to GOT's ending being sloppy and rushed. Star Wars fans would have skewered them if you mess up Star Wars in ANYWAY. I'm prepared to give House of the Dragon a chance because unlike with GOT, the stories that will be used for that show were clearly written by George RR Martin through various side works, etc. for the Westeros universe he created. As long as the showrunners don't deviate from the plots too much, they'll have at least solid stories for the show.
Another entertaining hour of reactions, y'all. Here are some thoughts: 5:39 Just to clarify, No one wants to "talk to the cop" anymore. Last episode, the cop apparently followed his fellow CIRCLES and wound up handing out the honeycomb tins to the players (possibly). But more importantly, after that, he started wandering around in that room where only TRIANGLES were posted (to shoot people who broke their honeycombs). The supervising SQUARE saw this strange activity, scanned his mask from behind, and questioned him. He knew the number 29 CIRCLE guard was supposed to come into the room LATER to dispose of the dead bodies. He wasn't supposed to be on the floor during the game. So he was going to get to the bottom of this (why 29 was confused and why he was in the room early). BUT, that SQUARE was that young kid who was forced to take off his mask at the end of last episode. He was then killed by the Front Man and that's when the cop stole his SQUARE mask. In other words, the man who wanted to "talk to" the cop was dead and the cop now has that dead guy's mask. No one wants to talk to the cop anymore about his "confusion." 9:11 Here's the deal. There WERE 2 guys "with glasses," (1) the main character's childhood friend/SNU business school graduate (218) and (2) the doctor you see here (111). If you'll notice, the SNU grad (218) wore his glasses in the 1st and 2nd episodes, and since returning to the games in the 3rd, he hasn't had his glasses. I personally think this was the director's decision because he didn't want viewers being confused after he introduced a new character with glasses (the doctor-111). 10:08 SNU guy (218) learned from pickpocket (067) that the guards were melting sugar. After seeing the shapes on the wall and remembering what she told him, he DID figure out the next game by remembering his childhood of a man melting sugar for the honeycomb game. That's why he picked triangle. That's why he was alarmed that his buddy picked umbrella. That's why he thought about saying something to his buddy. So Tera was right about all that. As to why 218 didn't say anything, that's for you to decide. As for the main character (456), he had a flashback of that sequence (his buddy 218 calling his name and saying, "forget it.") That's meant to show us that he at least SUSPECTS his buddy knew what the game was. Whether he still believes it to be true or now feels he was being paranoid is up to you to decide. 11:27 "Stick It to the Team." This was funny. Whether it was intentional or otherwise, it was funny. 12:01 Doug is "right." That was an egg and a "7-Up" in that it was a 7-Up-like soda generally called "cider" in Korea. 16:30 Doug is absolutely right. That's not "the guy" (218). That's the doctor (111). "The guy" (218) no longer wears glasses (for "some reason" I speculated above). 17:56 I felt this way about the scanning system too, early on. But apparently, that machine scans the masks and not some chip in the workers. I don't understand why they don't just have numbers on their uniforms. But I guess it's a system where the workers aren't supposed to know one another "personally" or even by number. And it's up to the SQUARES or possibly the TRIANGLES to be able to identify them using that scanning machine. 26:48 That switchblade was the pickpocket's. She dropped it during her fight with that thug and he picked it up and killed folks with it. 27:38 The guy with the mask refers to himself as "the Front Man." 30:58 She's not scared to tell where she's from. Everyone already knows. That's how SNU dude (218) convinced her to share intel she had about the melted sugar. He hinted that she might not know how to put it together because she's from North Korea, but said he could maybe figure it out because he grew up in South Korea. She's just reluctant to give her name for some reason. 33:02 This bingo/pinko conversation is what I'm here for. 33:46 This conversation between father and daughter was HILARIOUS. That's a nice bond y'all got here. 34:50 I think the implication is that that lady wanted to use the restroom "after hours" (after lights out). Remember, that's when she forced them to let her use it that first time. But during everyone's "free time" during the day, I think everyone's free to use the restroom when they need to use the restroom. 46:26 I love Doug's "Now what?" Because it shows he understands. So many other reactors have suggested they go back to their first strategy of leaning back. But clearly, that was one that could only work from the beginning... with a still rope... without momentum pulling in the opposite direction. Doug got that. So he knew that wasn't an option. Good observation here on his part. 51:34 I too am worried about a 2nd season. Learning that season 1 was a passion project by the writer/director which had been incubating for nearly a decade explains why season 1 is so compelling. Being put under the gun and being asked to "invent" a follow-up season makes me wonder if it could live up to the first. And I agree with your take on subsequent seasons of Stranger Things too. But on the bright side, it's not just the STORY that's compelling about this season of Squid Game. It's the storyTELLING. And at least that part shouldn't be lacking in season 2. 52:22 I think your take on Game of Thrones is SPOT ON!!! 54:13 Doug, you look resplendent. And Tera, you look fine as well. Of course we don't mind that you're casual. 54:30 I personally loved this cliffhanger. Because it's not a dickish cliffhanger where the storytellers treat us like idiots. If they ended with us not knowing HOW our "heroes" would survive (like right when they started losing), that would've been insulting. Instead, realizing that viewers were aware of the notion of plot armor, they ended after telling us what our heroes were going to do, but right before our heroes actually did it. That was the director trolling us, imo. And I applaud him for that. 55:16 This was a full Netflix original. They funded and produced it. It wasn't a project the director made on his own (or through some other production company) that Netflix simply bought the rights to. Oh, and they got him CHEAP considering what Squid Game did for Netflix's bottom line. So even if the 2nd season isn't as good as the first, I'm happy that it's being made because it means they're likely backing up the Brinks truck into the writer/director's "driveway," and PAYING him for this second go-around. 58:30 This is tricky because of the recent change in the Oscar category (from "foreign film" to "non-English language film"). And I think they made this change because of the films from English-speaking countries, particularly the U.K. It's also muddied up because of the movie Minari, which was an American film, filmed in America, written and directed by an American (a Korean-American, yes, but an American) but done mostly in the Korean language with a few Korean actors. But in short, Parasite was the first non-English language film to win best picture. Other "foreign films" have won before in that they were films funded in the U.K. Looking forward to the next reaction.
Re: Sang-Woo (player 218) not wearing glasses when he got back on the game (episodes 3 and up), I think you are correct that from the storytelling point of view that it can help viewers differentiate him from the doctor (player 111). However, from Sang-Woo the character's point of view, I think he decided to wear contact lens because he is observant enough to anticipate that wearing glasses can be viewed by others as a weakness that will either make him a target of bullies in the game or exclude him from teams if there is a game that will be played in teams. This is similar to his advice to Ali (player 199) to hide his hand with missing fingers to conceal potential observable weakness.
56:09 - this is a Netflix original. They paid the guy to make it, but the guy had been trying to sell the show to be made for over ten years before he got Netflix interested. In fact, I don't think he was paid very well at all. But I'm sure that will change with season 2.
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend from Game of Thrones who passed. It makes me so sad. But I am happy that you both are doing your best to move forward. You are both such awesome reactors who go together so well.. Keep up the good work. You're doing great.👍

Spoilers are in everywhere. Before seeing some of them you guys better make a squid game night and watch the rest 5 episode in a 2-3 days. You can share the reaction parts later. When you know the biggest twists you just lose the excitement.
19:05 Player 111 is a disgraced surgeon and he's helping them harvest organs and splitting the money with them. He looks similar to player 218 (Sang-Woo, on our protagonist's team) so it's a little confusing.
Player 111 alone is who is getting those pink notes. No one else is getting notes. They are trying to help him cheat so he can survive and continue to help them.
They are helping the guy with glasses because outside the games he is a doctor and helps them harvest the organs. In exchange they tell him the games to survive
anonymous? haha. the guy with black mask is "the front man" that's how he calls himself so you can call him front man. ofc it's not his name, you'll learn his true name by the end of the show, too. for now, just call him front man. it's easy. also sounds better then anonymous lol. well, some reactors call him dr. doom. Idk.
Trying to predict isn't part of the fun of watching for me, in fact I like being surprised. I just want to take the journey of watching than feeling I'm outsmarting it.
Well for me it’s also fun to think about it and actually really exciting to find out I’m right, and when I’m wrong it’s even more cool because I’m more surprised. I guess everyone just likes to experience things differently 🤷🏻♀️ -Tera
You guys are very confused as to who Sang-woo is compared to the doctor. Sang-woo knew what the game was in episode 3 because the north korean girl told him that she saw the guards melting sugar so Sang-woo using his own intellect figured out what the game was based on that. The doctor with glasses on the other hand was given a little paper note telling him what the next game would be.
You guys seem lovely but holy cow do you pause way too often. Watch the show dammit! You don't need to ask so many questions if you just pay attention 😂

47:23 "Well, its got me going!" LMAO!!!
Pinko got me real hard lol. She is not 19 but he was just guessing her to be that age to make her feel good.
Hey Tera... you're quite the attentive one. Good job!
And here we go!
Good reaction! I enjoyed it a lot!!
Awesome react both of u 👍👍
I don’t like long intros but with you guys, I don’t mind 🤭
Awe....that's so sweet - Thank YOU.
anonymous? haha. the guy with black mask is "the front man" that's how he calls himself so you can call him front man. ofc it's not his name, you'll learn his true name by the end of the show, too. for now, just call him front man. it's easy. also sounds better then anonymous lol. well, some reactors call him dr. doom. Idk.
I wonder if the director’s cut has Han Min Yeo story.
I need the directors cut
This is a good one!
Trying to predict isn't part of the fun of watching for me, in fact I like being surprised. I just want to take the journey of watching than feeling I'm outsmarting it.
Fr
Well for me it’s also fun to think about it and actually really exciting to find out I’m right, and when I’m wrong it’s even more cool because I’m more surprised. I guess everyone just likes to experience things differently 🤷🏻♀️ -Tera
These Coreans really know how to make good shows.
There are great shows from Korea. Thanks.
This was never meant to have a second season. But you know the US... squeezing every last drop out of the rock.
How is the US involved..? lol
34:45
9:56 Go back to this moment after the last episode. TRUST ME! lol
Intellect? lol He just used his memory
when are you guys doing more vikings? not that I dont enjoy squid games.
You guys seem lovely but holy cow do you pause way too often. Watch the show dammit! You don't need to ask so many questions if you just pay attention 😂
