@@milesmorales6305 But remembering Thanos's upbringing makes it kinda sad. His mother tried to kill him when he was born, he was bullied and neglected. Death is something he strives for because he wants love and validation... honestly, it's quite sad
Edit: if you think about it, most Marvel big bads need help. Doom just wants his mother, Galactus is just trying to survive, Thanos wants love and validation, etc.

Well Iron Man didn't die in Infinity War but he did almost die though from the stab wound while Iron Man in the comic barely did anything he got a few hits in with his repulsors then he got tackled and decapitated by a gender bent Thanos

I think what people don't understand is that Thanos is in love with the idealized version of love, Thanos doesn't just want the power to claim Deaths affection, Thanos is obsessed with idealized versions of concepts like power, love, while on an existental search for meaning. He thinks that achieving raw power will give him meaning, love, and make his uncertainty that goes with his nihilistic tendencies to be cured, but the fact is Thanos hadn't realized that achieving power doesn't give meaning, in the end he realizes its not just that he isn't worthy of such power by his own self doubt, he truly doesn't know what he wants. Starlin liked exploring concepts like Nihilism and Existentialism and had Thanos obsessed with idealized version of concepts and certainty.
@Domo Jones Thanks I just find it funny how people say he just wants to bang death. Oddly enough his romantic relationship with death is more Oedipal in nature, as her image she chooses to take in human form is similar to that of his mother, whom before the 2013 Origin had been killed when Thanos nuked Titan, he never got to have the love of his mother, so Thanos love of death really is partially a wanting for the love of a mother, he didn't have as a child.

In my opinion, the most epic part during MARVEL's: The Infinity Gauntlet was issue #5, "Astral Conflagration". In 'AC', Uatu witnessed Thanos wielding the Infinity Gauntlet, bested the Massive Cosmic Entities. Among the MCEs ranks were Eternity, Death, Galactus, Stranger, Kronos, Epoch, Mephisto, Order, Chaos, Love, Hate, Ziran & One Above All.
Nah, the gauntlet cannot affect the one above all, he is a Omniversal being, and the gauntlet only works and beings based in its universe.

You didn't do this story justice. It took 12 years and multitude of issues including "Thanos quest ", significant appearances in silver surfer ie when thanos beat silver surfer to death... to finish this entire story. This is before we get to the sequels infinity crusade, infinity war etc.

Why? They made him far worse for the big screen. The short version is he is no longer "The Mad Titan" but "The bad at economics, logistics, and more Titan." Not as catchy. XP

He wanted the stones for the same reason in the comics. This channel didn't show the issue he stated this. He rushed through the storyline that took 12 years. He didn't it justice.

As a 12 year old kid when I heard about infinity war coming out I picked up this comic series 1-6 and read it my mind was blown when Thanos so easily handled the hero’s my childhood was torn 😭 this however got me into comics

Without Silver Surfer and Adam Warlock, the original version of the story doesn't work in the movie. Silver Surfer especially would have made the Thanos fight in Endgame epic.

Imagine doing Infinity War, and making the part where Thanos used the reality stone on Drax and Mantis and Star-Lord and Gamora's weapons and Dr. Strange's magic during the Titan battle when he turned it into butterflies and expand that and have Thanos do a Scarlet-Witch-killing-the-Illuminati-in-Multiverse-Of-Madness to the Marvel heroes and you basically get this comic storyline. It could also be possible that Avengers:Secret Wars could potentially be this comic but it's a bloodbath-fest to the Marvel heroes, killing each one off, and deciding which ones are truly worthy enough to survive this battle.

Nah, the Infinity War comic was just okay & Infinity Crusade was hot garbage. The Infinity Gauntlet was good but OP Thanos being a simp & destabilizing the universe in battles with cosmic entities isn’t that compelling of a story. The films did well with an 11-year saga.
He was written better in the Infinity War movie & Silver Surfer: Rebirth of Thanos comic. Honestly the only thing I wish we got in the films were Silver Surfer & Adam Warlock. Warlock is especially a beast and he deserved a bigger role in the MCU.

Directly after the battle ended between Doctor Strange & Adam Warlock wielding the Infinity Gauntlet, Eternity arrived to summoned AW to a cosmic hearing, being held at the Dimension of Manifestations. In the DoM, a group of Massive Cosmic Entities awaited Eternity & AW's arrival. Eternity brought AW to trial, Living Tribunal judged in Eternity's favor. LT also ordered AW to relinquish the IG and to disperse the Infinity Gems. Galactus, Stranger, Epoch, Master Order, Lord Chaos, Mistress Love, Sire Hate, Ziran the Tester & Uatu the Watcher were at the trial as witnesses.
