In this video, I'll be replacing the tailgate, and replacing the inner and outer rear body panel. I'll also be replacing the side gutter with one from a salvaged vehicle. This is full process video where you'll see : removing and replacing the damage components, welding, seam sealing and painting.

I've got to do the exact same repair on the same car. I know procedures say you can section inner panel but I don't feel comfortable doing that. I think I'm just going to do both sides all the way.

Great question! I use the belt sander when I'm removing parts that I won't be re-using. I am using the drill on parts that I am keeping so that it will have a hole for a plug weld. Hope that helps!

How come your metal doesnt warp when you mig weld it down, i was told to distribute heat.
Yes, you were taught properly. You could get away with doing 2 or 3 in the same area, but it really depends on how thick the metal is and where the area is. Best practice to just do 1 and move to a different area

not where I live lol! insurance companies will generally pay up to 80% of the cars value before determining a total loss
@AUTOBODYTECH I wonder what the year model is that is the main factor. And most insurance say 80 but really it's more like 70-75
